Sounds like you are doing great. Lost more weight than me. Vitamins sound good. You can eat more and more as time goes. Also if you try the burgers again every couple weeks. Your tastes are all over the place now. Personally I'm really liking the Premier Protein chocolate. @@mhuntoon

Would love to know what you are taking exactly for the Constipation. I'm also almost 4 weeks out and dealing with horrible constipation this past week

When you guys are talking about weight loss, are you talking since the surgery date or are you including pre-op too? I was just curious. Pre-op definitely counts. That was super hard

These are your only 2 posts?

Not looking for them now. Lol. Maybe 6 months from now. I was just curious about them. Never even heard of them. Sounds like a perfect fix to loose skin (at least with clothes on)

I just heard about these shirts and they sound great. Do these work while we are losing weight? Or down the road some to tighten up appearance. Which do you recommend.

I'm talking post surgery. When is it OK to try a bite or two of pepper steak or chicken with the very cooked very soft green peppers and onions.
I'm 3 weeks out and hoping the doc and nut will ok it starting after 4 weeks at my next appt. But curious to everyone else.

Do not just suck it up. Definitely call your surgeon/NUT and explain the situation. They are not going to tell you to suck it up if you are gagging and dry heaving with the Protein powder and new lactose intolerance. They will have solutions and offer options (that they approve).
To answer your original question: many patients are put on mushies (pureed) day 2 after surgery. Many more are at 1 week. I was at 2 weeks and that is pretty normal. Some doctors do say 4 weeks. But you can have applesauce and yogurt and things (full liquid) well before that.
The refried Beans at 10 days or whatever you are didn't hurt you. However, call and explain the problem. You aren't negotiating. You are explaining a problem you are having and see what YOUR surgeon/nut recommends.
We didn't have this surgery to diet and be miserable the rest of our lives. We had this surgery to apply better/newly learned eating habits with the assistance of our tool (sleeve). We do not need to omit everything from our diets. It's now going to be moderation. Instead of a whole pizza, it will be 1 slice. Instead of 6 tacos, it will be 1. Instead of 10 diet cokes, it will be Water.

Yes, definitely if anything doesn't agree with the stomach, then we will obviously not eat that.
However, I think hot sauce will taste great and go down very easy. I was just wondering why the doctor wanted to stay away from spicy things and acidic things right now. I don't think they can cause ulcers.
I didn't really know the reasoning. Thats why I was asking. I'm hoping the doctors give me the go ahead next week. We will see when I ask. I will also ask the reasoning too.
Thanks so much.

I was told to avoid hot spicy things at my 1 week post op. I'm now almost 3 weeks post op. When is hot sauce ok? Like adding red hot to refried Beans?
Why do we have to avoid it?
Thank you for the help. I will be asking my surgeon/nutritionist next visit but that is a week away still.

I didn't go for 5 days then had diarrhea about 7 times in 2 days, then it stopped on its own.

Darn. My doc said I have to do all chewable powder type the 1st month and yes it's calcium citrate. Very hard to find elsewhere. I can't stand these. The caramel sounds much better. I'm going in tomorrow and see if they will let me switch

1. Can we puree shredded cheese with refried Beans
2. Do we have to puree salsa or can it be added after
3. Can we puree lettuce and Tomato with refried Beans for a Mexican dish
4. Can roast and potatoes be pureed?
5. What can't be pureed? Steak?
I was only told to not exceed 10g sugar or 10g fat during a meal.
