What’s Your Relationship with Exercise?
Love-hate. I get so much energy from exercise, but I feel guilty sometimes because it seems as if everything I'm doing this year is all about me. I've been able to increase my time and resistance on both the exercise bike and elliptical machines. My thighs and butt are definitely benefiting from the machines.

At what age would you have Weight Loss Surgery (WLS) if you had a do-over?
I said age 18 previously, and I thought I'd elaborate. For me I was a size 28ish bride at 1mo past 19. I quickly got to a size 32 after marriage. There's soo much more that I wanted to do before having my first child at 21. Being obese held me back from doing those things. Being obese made me not have a beautiful baby bump. Being obese also resulted in 3 high risk pregnancies. If I would've went through this wls journey as a young adult I might've had better pregnancies, a social life and beautiful baby bumps. I'm sure some may disagree, but these are just my feelings, for what it's worth.

don't feel full?
1/2 cup of food and I'm stuffed. Today I'm having emotional issues and am really dealing with head hunger. I'm still trying to get used to eating what I need vs. what I want or used to eat. Mostly a quantity thing. Food tastes soo good to me that I want to eat more. Always been an issue for me.

18! & same goes for my daughter. As a parent, I want what's best for her. This has been one of the best things I've done for myself.

Terrified of sleep study
^^Because the at home study was brought up, here's a pic of me in my at home test. I did this for 2 nights, but I guess because of results I still had to do an in lab test. Which sucked! Best of luck to you!

Menstrual cramps but I went through menopause 10 years ago!?
I just came across this and saw that no-one replied. 1st - I hope you're doing ok now. If not I recommend getting to your obgyn. Hopefully you're being seen every year. 2nd - I get pain that shoots into my vagina. I have 3 children, and while pregnant with each one I would have this pain or feeling that they were coming out while I would walk. My Dr said it was just pressure. Idk. But anyways I guess about 2 1/2 years ago, not pregnant, I started getting that pain/pressure feeling again as if something was coming out of me. It mostly happened while walking but would also occur with bending and picking up heavy things. My obgyn found nothing wrong! Initially he thought it could be a bladder prolapse. Yay it's not. My highest weight was 359. I'm 7 wks out and now just under 300. But one day last week while on the elliptical I felt it again. I was hoping that weight loss would stop whatever it is. Especially since everything wrong with me is because I'm obese;-) Idk if this is the same pain you're feeling or not when it comes to the vaginal area. But I do hope you get looked at and everything is ok. My obgyn walked away from his practice and I've been avoiding finding a new one. Feel free to update on here. I hope you're doing better.

What Are You Reading?
I just finished the two Miss Peregrine books. Loved, loved, loved them! Can't wait for the 3rd one in September. Also recently read The catcher in the rye. It was really good.

Sleep study
Sorry you have it, but at least they can help you. Maybe you'll even sleep better after you get your machine :-) I know their times are crazy at the sleep studies! I think some of that was on my mind also. Knowing a person could walk into my room while I'm asleep, and stranger at that. It freaks me out bad enough if I wake up to one of my kids by my bed!! I guess one too many scary movies.

Sleep study
:-) sleep? What sleep?! I slept maybe 3 hours on and off. I woke up at 3:45 and couldn't go back to sleep. I was miserable. You would think that this day and age there'd be a better way than all that. I came back no sleep apnea! My dos was 12/30/14. Spent 2 nights in hospital. By the time I came home I wasn't snoring any more while on my back! How'd you do on your study?

Why is my picture turned sideways?
Any idea why I can't post a profile pic? I pick one and hit submit and it comes up with some garb about tapatalk (which I installed hoping it'd help) and then it just sits there saying processing. But it never processes.

Random every day questions/thoughts.
As a teen who would buy a movie ticket but then sneak into another theater to see r rated movies, yes they still show it At least they used to!

Do you miss anything about being fat?
I'm only 6 weeks post op, but don't think I'll ever miss anything about being obese. I'm already loving how my body is shrinking all over and the over all differences. I think I have regrets though as far as my pre op diet. I wish I would've enjoyed 1 more soda before surgery, or ate an extra sugar cookie I made with my girls at Christmas. It's kinda silly I guess, but that's how I feel. I was very strict pre op, for good reason, but thinking back that's what I think of.

Energy Levels 12 Days Post Op
Agree with all the above but, also remember you just had major surgery. My energy didn't come back until week 5 post op. Hang in there, it'll happen:-)

Valentine's Day
I'm 6wks 1d post op. I hate going out to eat. The only thing I can eat out well is shrimp. My husband wants to go out for v day but I'm soo not interested. Our fav steak house has a wonderful salad bar, but I'm bummed cause I can't eat raw veggies yet. I'd just rather stay home :-( don't misunderstand, I'm glad I've had surgery, no complications, but maybe I'm just a little blue over food? The very thing that got me in this mess! Yikes

Husband for sale!
I heard Wal-Mart accepts men as returns after Christmas!!

Ppl having bariatric surgery in their twenties!
Just yesterday I was telling my hubby that I wish I would've had rny before I had my babies. I had soo many complications and 2 of my 3 babies were born quite premature. 1 of them with a long hospital stay. I know we shouldn't play the what if game, but it's hard not to do! I was talked out of pursuing bariatric by my mom when I was 20. What a different life I could've had. I could've enjoyed soo much more if I would've went through with it back then instead of waiting until I was 35! (I'm almost 5 wks post op now) I think it's great that younger people are getting a handle on their life and health. Don't wait until you've ruined your body. Good for you all. Soo happy for you @@zedqueen! I look forward to hearing about your success.

What can't be pureed during puree stage?
@@monopoly2015 I was allowed cheese in my food. My nutritionist referred to cheese as a liquefier. I could add a slice of my fat free cheese or a laughing cow wedge to my scrambled egg. It's a good way to add protein to those refried beans :-)
-
Quick help please...
I have to ask this. Where's your protein at?
