YES! 7 days post op & only 1 bm if you even consider it an actual bm???? glad to know it gets greater laterLenci- I was surprised at how little "waste" I passed my first month! It is a little more regular now 3 months out but never everyday. In the first few weeks I went days and days without a BM...dr said it was ok. You may have Constipation from pain meds too...that really bothered me and I had to stop taking it at about 10 days out but I was doing ok by then.

thank you this is exactly the info I was looking for!Congrats on the weight lost...take it easy...two weeks after i was told i could go to the gym...But no lifting over thirty lbs and no crunches....keep loosing and good luck!!

no problem???? but I know you can minimize saggy skin by targeting and working out those specific areas such as arms: working with weights doing reps, thighs: squats with weights, and cardio! You're going to be fine and look wonderful!!!Lenci thanks again for your message. What are ways I can stop or minimize the sagging of the "extra" skin?

I have some 3lbs weights and I think I'm going to start tomorrow with reps and basic stretches nothing too muchI walked and also used my light hand weights. The smaller ones are only 2 pounds each. So when I was sitting I would do reps with those. As my strength returned I made my walks longer. At 3 weeks I returned to the gym.

thank you and don't worry I won't get discouraged when the time comes for I am looking up and not down in my journey. I'm going to take it easy with the exercising for right nowCongrats. BUT...Don't do too much exercise, etc., too soon. There may be small incisions on the outside, but you had significant stuff done on the inside. Your body needs time to heal.
Also don't get too bummed when you slow down or stall. It will happen, so just enjoy the ride when you're speeding along (like now), or when there's a stall.

that's what I was concerned with as well and if the time comes and I feel it's too much extra skin then I too will be looking into getting rid of that but I'm going to do all I can beforehand to prevent or minimize it. Good luck sweetieLenci thanks for the info. I have seen pics and that show "my 600lb life". It just looks nastier then just being fat. So it's like I'd rather be fat then have all that extra skin hanging if insurance doesn't cover the removal. I'll just ask them about it my next appt which is in about 8 days.

My friend just had her stomach and breasts done and insurance paid for it. It was labeled as major rash and skin disorders but they sent her to dermatologists firstLenci congratulations on your 16lbs. Gives me something to look forward to. Does anyone know if insurance covers the surgery of removing the extra flappy skin due to the fast weight loss?

Thanks you guys!!!???????? I'm not going to pretend everything is all rainbows and unicorns because I'm still dealing with these gas pains and not to mention haven't popped yet either. But anyone who's struggled like I have will know how easy it is to get discouraged and down if constantly looking at all the bad instead of the good! I'm fully aware of the slow down and even the idle period that's not what I'm focused on! Anyone going through this journey I know has an over abundance of medical and nutritional information! I'm asking about personal experiences...

I'm soooo excited! It's been 4 days since my surgery and I've already lost 16lbs!!! I've been walking a bunch but am a little hesitant about what other exercises I should do so early post op. I don't want to tear/injure anything but I also don't want a whole lot of loose skin as I realize I'm losing quite rapidly and want to get the jump on things. Any suggestions?

Yes sorry it was my first time posting and on my cellphone it didn't show that it had posted

No, I'm not surprised by his behavior at all but I was praying once he saw that I went to this length to get my weight under control he'd see I was serious about it and not just talking! I've been through similar issues with him with me having lost 70lbs previously, countless dead end diets, gym memberships and counseling. I'm not here to necessarily bash him but want to know if anyone has been through or going through what I am! I'm not in fear of my life because he isn't physically abusive but in a way I did see this as passive aggressive behavior! Discouraging to say the least not having my "husband" as my motivator can be hurtful but I have plenty of support from others

I'm 3 days post op and I am slightly antsy! I am hoping this decision is going to be well worth it. My husband isn't as supportive as many others. He actually brought home 24 cupcakes and a gallon of ice cream when I asked him to get me sugar free Popsicle's. Friends say he's just scared but I honestly think he's selfish and manipulative though I'm not hungry at all I just couldn't fathom why he'd do that. Is there anyone else going through this similar situation with a loved one?

16 days post op and I'm dying for a glass of Merlot... Has anyone drank so soon after surgery? And if so, any complications?
