  1. People who don't want babies but are choosing to have sex anyway, shouldn't rely on just the pill whether they are married or not. It seems pretty simple to me. :noidea:
  2. I do feel bad for your sister, I really do. But it all comes down to responsibility. The pill is not and never has been 100% effective on even the healthiest of people.
  3. I would SERIOUSLY love to adopt a kid, I was told it takes thousands of dollars and years. I know a couple who was in the process of adopting their 2nd child, they had the little boy, had a baby shower, everything. At the last minute, the biological mother backed out. HEARTBREAKING. I would be terrified to go through something like that, have the sweet child ripped from you after all that time.:welldone2:
  4. I know this is true, I live it in my job everyday. I have warrants upon warrants sitting out there that the sheriff's office just don't serve. I see these people all the time around town, so they can't tell me they don't. They tell me they can't find them, bologna. On a side note, our sheriff was up for re-election this year, he didn't even make it out of the primary. He ran as a write in but of course didn't win.
  5. Wow, see!! We CAN all get along!! :clap2:
  6. This is what I would like to do as one small part of sex education.... I work in the clerk of courts office and, lucky me, I get to handle all of the child support cases. I think it should be required for teenage boys and girls to sit through child support hearings, maybe THAT would scare them into abstinance!!! It's quite a spectacle. I'm being sarcastic about the abstinence, I know that is not reality! But I really wish they could be more responsible, ie: don't rely on just the pill or just a condom, USE BOTH!!
  7. Sure, but how do you know? The people that come from abusive homes and turn their life "around" so to speak, aren't in the news, in the welfare line, or prison, so nobody really knows about them.....know what I mean?
  8. You know what, it's not luck, it's about choices. He chooses not to let what happened to him as a child define who he is as an adult. I'm sorry your family members didn't make better choices.
  9. I raised this question because I have 2 boys and if they should ever find themselves as the man in a situation like this (God forbid), I would desperately try to fight for their rights, and mine as a grandparent. But it looks like it would be futile.
  10. Oh please, whatever! If that is the way you want to interpret my words, knock yourself out, whatever helps you sleep at night. Normal is normal, he's not a freaking lunatic, ok? Statistics might say he should be but he's not, considering his childhood. My point being, all children should be give a chance to live and not use the excuse that their life would suck because they were unwanted. Life can suck irregardless if you were planned or unplanned.....
  11. I don't mean legally. I'm asking on a moral level, if it is of people's opinion that it is ok to abort because the child was "unwanted", this would not be the case then.
  12. Okay, so what if the Dad wants the baby? Does the mother still have a right to abort it if the Dad is wanting to keep the baby? After all, it is not "UNwanted" anymore.....
  13. ok, maybe if people really used common sense and RESPONSIBILTY, this would be a NON-ISSUE!!! Guess what, BIRTH CONTROL people!! Take the pill AND use a condom, a diaphram, the sponge, IUD, or it's simple, STAY OUT OF THE SACK!! Murder is NOT an acceptable birth control method simply because two people were careless. PERIOD, the end. And I have seen kids who lived with varying forms of abuse, become adults with "normal" lives, successful lives. In fact, I am married to one. So please spare me the "they're better off" routine 'cuz I ain't buyin'. I would LOVE, repeat LOVE to adopt a kid, but I can't afford it.....

    Future coverage for self-payers

When I had my surgery done, my insurance didn't cover the procedure. They have since started to cover the procedure, but won't pay for my adjustments. I don't know if they would cover any related problems, but I am not counting on it.

    Hi In MN

Hi Jo in MN, I am from North Dakota!! We are neighbors! Where approximately are you in MN? Southern, northern, eastern or western part of the state?
  16. It's not my concern, I was just stating my opinion. That's still allowed here, right??
  17. The problem is, IN MY OPINION, because it IS legal and always an option, it DOES become a method of birth control.
  18. I watched Bill O'Reilly last night, that girl's story almost made me cry. And this is going on all the time with that doctor, SICK.
  19. Sunta, you should come live where I live. School enrollment is DEclining, absolutely NO traffic, in fact we have one stop light in town. We can see our doctor at a moments notice (usually). People aren't annoyed all the time, in fact, they're rather friendly. And lastly, you can see for miles and miles all the rich farm land. Come on over!!!
  20. Hey, leave Bill out of this!! He's not here to defend himself!! :nervous

    Toddler Moms?

Hi guys! I am the mom of 2 boys, Brady is my 8 year old and Coby is my 2 year old. With my older boy, we never experienced the "terrible twos", he was a dream child, BUT we are experiencing them with number 2!! He's quite a handful but he can really melt my heart!! First he was really into Elmo, now it is the Power Rangers for some reason. Brady potty trained practically overnight, it was amazing. He only had 2 mistakes, that was it! Coby, on the other hand, is not interested at all, I think it is going to be a looong road!!! But, I wouldn't trade him for anything! Well, maybe a girl!! JUST KIDDING!!!

    The new Smoke-Free Ohio Law

I quit smoking over 3 years ago, Yay me! But interestingly, I have found that as a smoker, I was very rarely sick, ie: colds, flu, etc. Since being a non-smoker, I catch everything and anything there is to catch. Coincidence? Who knows, but I DO know, I SMELL a WHOLE LOT better now! I can immediately smell a smoker, yuk. The smell of a smoker to me is nauseating, but a freshly lit cigarette, mmmmm, makes me remember fondly my old smoking days. Wierd, huh?
