It's a crazy feeling isn't it !!

Like what to do with those feelings. There is this shroud of unknown over the whole process because everyone's insurance and docs are completely different with requirements. Maybe if everything was a bit more cohesive, we could begin processing these feelings without fear of being told it's a no go on surgery.

I'm scared to start exercising or watch what I eat in fear it'll mess with my BMI.. I have a whole month to go before I have first appointment with surgeon, so plenty of time to mourn for me lol.. But yes I agree, for me as well that it's crazy to mourn it already.. I wish that was something that was mentioned in the pre-op phase a bit more.

I'm doing the same thing!!! I think if there was a bit more direction sooner, I think I wouldn't be pigging out as bad... It's like I'm mourning that loss already because I don't know what to expect... I'm glad I found this website.. I think it's arming me with a lot of positive things to think about.. Can't you get the cobra insurance or whatever you call it till next job? And if you don't continue on with that job you can still enroll in insurance on the healthcare.gov site till February 15th I think... And I think your insurance would start in March if you did that.. But obviously check with them ???? good luck with all of it..

I'm just trying to think of the end result when one of those hoops we have to jump through causes stress.. The end results are gonna be worth every stressor we deal with right!?

I don't think there is a group in Charlotte off of this forum !!!! So we have 3 of us now ???? I'm still pre-op so all info will be much appreciated ???? I have a couple of people that I can invite that are still pre-op that are friends of mine ..

Thanks for your encouragement ???? I'm sure hoping that I have that short of a waiting period. My insurance doesn't require me to do supervised diet like most, so I'm super lucky in that respect. I definitely will continue to utilize this forum for resources and support, and thank you for yours ????????

Hey ???? I've not seen an update on you yet? I've been curious how everything has been going since your last post.. I have to wait 5-7days for them to call and make my first appointment, so just limbo land I guess.. Lol ... I'm lucky, my insurance doesn't require a supervised diet, so maybe it'll only be a few short months wait!!!!

Thanks for responding :-) I am happy there is a pre-op process!!! This is definitely not something that needs to be rushed into. But i still can't help it to wanna be there already lol its coming God willing .. It would be nice to have a smidge more pre-op direction after tonight but I guess the 5 to 7 day wait on phone call from Dr office will have to suffice. .

Thank you for your advice, I just got home from seminar and was more prepared with the info I already had.. So it was great to hear it directly from the surgeons mouth.. I'm definitely ready for next step..

Sorry for late response, I had to drive 12 hrs away to go to my grandmas funeral ???? thank you for your advice, I definitely will be very honest... As I want to conquer this issue head on and for good.. You have definitely been through a lot and I wish you the best of luck with everything you discussed. Our families sound very familiar and I know the emotional pain and toll it's taken on me... Best of luck ????????
