Good evening to all ???? How long did everyone have to take their pain meds after surgery? I have a little one I have to take care of during the day and needed to know what I'm looking at, with being able to take my meds.

Maybe try finding a hobby or focus on something you enjoy doing when the craving or grazing starts.. That's my plan.. Good luck ????

Everything went well. Thanks for asking. I was able to get my prescription of pain meds and acid reflux stuff from surgeons office.. I saw the dietitian for my pre-op and post-op diet review.. And was asked multiple questions regarding all medical history, to make sure all information they have is correct.. So all in all I'd say I'm all set for pre-op diet to start in 4 days and then surgery May 5th ????

I'm so glad to hear that about the craving. Pizza is a weekly thing at our house too. I feel fortunate that my husband said there's no need to fix separate meals. He'll eat what I fix.You are very lucky that you hubby will eat what you fix!! My partner is very picky, but I can be sneaky to.. So maybe it'll work out in the end. I'm the main cook for us and our son.. So I have total control of everything lol I deal with acid reflux as well, and am looking forward to it subsiding after surgery..

I sure hope the cravings go away for me too!!!!

Gastric bypass has been the go to surgery for years, with the most research and cases to back it up, kinda hard to go against the facts. But obviously it's between you and your doctor. I want/need the dumping to be my hall monitor so to speak.. And I have acid issues so no sleeve for me even if I wanted.. Good luck on your research and journey.

I look at it like hey, I got to the weight I'm at by not being mindful, so I guess I don't mind keeping track of everything. I find it comforting to see that I made my commitment to myself work for me daily. ???? good luck finding your normalcy.

I'm very interested in what comments people leave here ???? I don't wanna mess up my chances either. I'm not given any amount to lose beforehand so what's the big deal!?

How are they gonna know you cheated? It's not like they took pictures of our livers to begin with right? If it was that big of a deal you'd think they would do an ultrasound or something like it to image it right? I have to do two weeks and I'm scared I'm gonna fail too ????

Congratulations on the surgery date... I thought it would never come for me but finally it was my turn ???? what great timing with your vacay, I would have done the same with the enjoyment of food, on your trip!!! I'm worried about the stress binge eating type behavior myself.. I've got my first appointment with new shrink the day I start my liquid diet.. I figured I get started on that journey in regards to my weight. So hopefully that's the help I need to not binge/stress/emotional eat. Good luck to you and your journey.

Oh I bet it has been a "battle " and omg I totally gave in to cravings lol and then some... I'm trying to make mostly healthier choices but not always successful.. How about you? I used to be a thin person 10yrs ago, I wish I could claim pregnancy but being a guy that's not possible lol... My weight gain stems from stress and depression ???? I'm on the mend now so willing to change ????

Does everyone have to do pre-op diet that's responded? I start mine April 21st.. I'm definitely doing the last meal thingy.. Anyone else got same idea?
