I'm in the mourning phase myself right now.. I was just approved today for a May 5th surgery date.. Yay!!!! Good luck on getting everything done soon and getting your dates soon too!!

I'm shocked my Dr doesn't know of this!!! I'm waiting on the email from them to get process going.. So wish me luck that it's easy lol ????

Congratulations! I'm April 28th (almost May - lol). I'm pretty nervous, but oddly enough, coming here helps ease some of the anxiety. I'm ready to hop on the bench too.Congratulations on your date too... Yes coming here helps so much.. I've learned so much already and feel prepared for next transition.. Well with all the weight we will lose, there is gonna be plenty of room on that bench now for us both lol bad joke I know lol

My insurance did away with the supervised diet thing last year, so that shortened my time of waiting considerably..

Not to shabby ???? I got all of my appointments done in March and received my approval today!! Yay

My surgery isn't until May 5th so I can't give ya any pointers, but I definitely can understand what you mean with the gay thing lol.. I'm lucky in the sense, me and my partner have been together for 12yrs and have an almost 5yr old son ???? so I don't have to deal with gay bar scene anymore (by choice) I just couldn't take the fake a$$ people anymore... Today I got the news I was approved for surgery!!!! May 5th is the date and 2wk Pre-Op starts the 21st of April.. What a great way to start my weekend off!!! It only took one month to get all appointments done and these first few days of April to get insurance to approve.. Gosh I'm so lucky it happened so fast.. I wish everyone else a speedy process ❤️

Congrats on the surgery date!!!! Who are you going through? I'm going through Carolinas Weight Management... Next Friday I'll have the last of my testing complete, then wait for them to submit to insurance..

I'm still getting all of my testing done. Everything should be done appointment wise at end of this month.. How about you?I'm still pre-op too going through Southeast Bariatrics with Dr. Kolasch at the Presbyterian / Novant Matthews hospital. My insurance requires the 6 month diet so I'm about to enter month 2.I was going to go to Dr. Vollenger but was able to get into Carolina sooner.. My good friend is waiting for his approval for Dr V right now.. I didn't have to do 6 month diet. It's good for fast approval, but crazy without any beforehand knowledge to prep myself.. Obviously I'm researching for myself lol ???? good luck on your journey..
