  1. Hello. How did you make out with your surgery. How are you feeling ? Are you on liquid diet ? Yes how did it go? I hope well.
  2. I have missed food, and missed eating. Both certainly "Head Hunger" Im not sure that I've felt real hunger.Yeah I'm sure it's head hunger. I do miss food. I can't move to soft foods on Tuesday. Hurry up Tuesday. Can't wait to have a yogurt or some cottage cheese. Oh and soft boiled egg. Correction : can have soft foods on Tuesday. You just wait, that egg is going to be the best egg you've ever eaten. No lie. Foodgasam lol
  3. Me to, and it's in our heads. As long as we are getting our protein in we shouldn't be hungry at all. I'm getting at least 70grams, which is plenty. I keep seeing food that is of normally eaten the hell out of, and have sad feelings, cause I can't eat them ???? but it'll be so worth it, I say to myself lol. Good luck to you.
  4. I went back to work this week as well, I was 9 days post-op myself. And you are not kidding. Making myself top priority has been a challenge. And the energy got going, once I got into the groove. Good luck to ya. Every day has been easier.
  5. You're doing fantastic already! What have you been having for meals? thank you ???? I've been doing Fat free cottage cheese, yogurt, ricotta cheese bake, refried beans with melted mozzarella cheese, low sodium tomato soup with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and onion puréed.Wow. Congrats , down that much in 11 days. That's amazing. I can't wait to have refried beans. I start soft foods on Tuesday. Gonna weigh myself on Tuesday which is my 2 weeks post op. What's ricotta cheese bake? Good up the good work , it's obviously paying off. ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1431736523.644153.jpg ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1431736538.063063.jpgHere's the recipe on Pinterest. It's called mock lasagna on here. And thanks, I'm so happy to see results quickly. I hope you have fabulous results too.. ????❤️ Thanks for the recipe. I will try this one. It's basically lasagna insides lol. So yummy ???? minus meat and noodles of course..
  6. Godspeed on your recovery ???? it's definitely a life changing journey we are on. One that has many highs and many lows, I'm noticing. I just keep reminding myself, it'll all be worth it in the end. So many advantages.. So in turn my pain will not be in vain lol. The pain meds were a definite plus, but also made me very backed up. So just be careful. Be prepared to take matters in your own hands lol.. It took the exlax crushed of course 2 days to kick in lol. Last night was my first night of sleeping on my side again. I've only been able to sleep on my back and I'm not a back sleeper ever. So I had a great night last night. I went back to work yesterday, and I was pleasantly surprised that it went by smoothly. I'm a hairstylist that stands all day. I only worked 6 hours, and I survived. I wish you the best of luck and look forward to seeing more of your victories ????❤️
  7. Wow I'm on the losers bench now ???? I can't believe it's my turn to become the new healthier me. I'm very blessed there were no complications per my knowledge. My doc will be in at 6, so I'll post an update as soon as there is one.. And Thank You to everyone who've told their stories about your journey, they really do help when you are a newbie. Keep up the good work everyone ???? one day soon I hope to pay it forward with any knowledge I get from this journey..
  8. Thanks for positive feedback ???? and yes I'll be so much more active for my son ???? and congrats on your wonderful loss ????I'm 11 days post-op and I'm down 33.6 pounds in 3weeks.. We both are doing so well. I tell ya, it's been super hard these last few days, being around regular food. I start mushy food Tuesday, so I'm right behind ya. You sound like you have a great attitude towards your journey to, this definitely helps us for sure. I started back work yesterday and yes, the lifting restrictions are pretty annoying. I keep forgetting, but thank goodness I've done no harm to myself yet lol. Keep up the good work ???? Jaysen aka Salonboi
  9. You're doing fantastic already! What have you been having for meals? thank you ???? I've been doing Fat free cottage cheese, yogurt, ricotta cheese bake, refried beans with melted mozzarella cheese, low sodium tomato soup with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and onion puréed.Oh okay! I'm on full liquids for two weeks so can't eat those quite yet! But thanks for the tips ????It was like heaven in my mouth, eating those refried beans. It'll be your turn to eat then before you know it lol
  10. I went 7 days without BM. I started to get worried. I ended up crushing some exlax. It took 2 days to work. But eventually did its thing. Good luck.cool I tried miralax but nothing so far. I was thinking of trying some milk of magnesia. I am normally constipated all the time from before this surgery due to all the pain meds I'm on from spinal cord dmg. Think it would be ok to use milk of magnesia?I'd definitely talk to your doctor first. I don't think there is much difference in the two medicines. But I'd just double check. I'd hate for for there to be some kind of NSAID type problem/reaction. We don't wanna get ulcers in our stomachs. Good luck.

  16. YAY! You're On Your Way Now! I had my one week post op visit yesterday, in down 7lbs since surgery! I couldn't believe my eyes, thought the scale was wrong. It is so motivating. ????Congratulations on your loss. Yay ???? it feels so good doesn't it!?
  17. Congratulations on your loss. And I'm 11 days post-op and this is my first morning waking with no pain from sleeping. Each day has gotten better. And I can finally sleep on my side. I've only been able to sleep on my back, and I'm not a back sleeper. Good luck with no pain soon ..
  18. Hot shower. Did Dr give you pain meds ? Does walking help? The heating pad is my go to , but as you said not helping you. Hope feels better soon Thanks for responding! I do have pain meds and I took a shower yesterday!I also had my first post-op bowel movement today and that seemed to help a bit! Walking does help but it's been rainy and there's not much space to walk around in my house! Thanks for answering! Walking helped the most. When it's raining it definitely makes it pretty tough to do ???? I used some "Active On" in stick form and rubbed it on lower back. Definitely helped soothe. Good luck with healing.
  19. I went 7 days without BM. I started to get worried. I ended up crushing some exlax. It took 2 days to work. But eventually did its thing. Good luck.

  21. So glad you liked it. It definitely is kinda sweet right at first, you get used to it.
  22. Glad to hear it, pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps, is the only option sometimes. Glad you were able to do that. And yes sitting on the losers bench is an amazing feeling, that comes with a lot of personal responsibility to ourselves. I think we've got it in us. We've come this far. Why stop now.
