Most definitely ups and downs, it's tough when you can't use food as comfort anymore. I know I'm still in mourning. It's eased some, but when it rears its ugly head, it's quite prevalent. Keep on keeping on. And always get up.. I read that somewhere, and I like that.

Has anything gotten better yet? I know it's a hard road, when we were so used to eating whatever and whenever. I just keep telling myself it'll all be worth it soon. It doesn't always help in the moment, but softens the blow a little. I hope it gets easier for ya soon.

Hey Dawn. SC how nice. I'm looking forward to Tuesday also , I'm gonna weigh myself first time since surgery and can start eating soft / puréed foods. I really am sick of protein shakes. I was told tastes could change after surgery and boy did they. I think everything is just way to sweet and difficult to tolerate. I'm excited to hear how well you did on the scale.. And yes I've noticed how different my taste level is. And omg so sick of protein shakes lol. Tuesday I start soft food. I cheated and had a few bites of very moist chicken, it was friggin amazing lol. No issues at all either. I was kinda nervous, as I've heard people have issues with meat afterward.

I've been there before, loved the king of Prussia mall.. I had training up there 15 yes ago. I'm from Charlotte NC .. Been here most of my life. I was born in Louisiana while my father was in the army, but my family are from Michigan.Very interesting that not only have you heard of King of Prussia, you've been here before. And yes , first thing people say is " great mall". Lol. It is a great mall , not being much of a shopper , I'm not there much. I live about a mile from that mall. So your in NC, how nice. I hear how southerns are so nice and hospitable. So not the case with Northerns. Well I consider myself nice. Just saying we have reputation of being rude and move / talk fast. Anyway, I feel pretty good today. And I also am no longer taking pain meds. Today is 12 days out for me. Oh , going to grocery store today, getting ready for when I can start eating soft / puréed. I did "cheat" a little this morning. Had a bit of Greek yogurt. Went down nicely without a problem. Don't wanna push it to quickly.I'm not much of a mall person either. But yes it was a great mall. Yes us southerners are mostly friendly, and I know not all northerners are rude lol. We just love everyone down south, and want to make sure you don't need a cold glass of something for refreshment ????I started a day early with sampling puréed food and no issues. Glad to hear you had no issues with yogurt.

I'm noticing, more movement on my part has helped with the kicked my butt feeling. It wiped me out to. I think part of it for me was , being on those pain meds for so long made me so drowsy and lethargic. And it just added to the kicked butt part. Now I'm off of it, I'm so much better.

It's amazing how a good poop makes you feel great. Your niece is a cutey And your prize , well that's best prize ever, who doesn't wanna be a princess ( at least it looks like a princess tiara in ur pic ).She is a cutie ❤️ and I agree on bathroom issue. More exlax for me today ????

Is it a reaction to something? I had a client today that ended up being allergic to something in the glue holding her wounds together. It caused a lot of discomfort and she had to have doctor look at it. They told her to take Benadryl. Definitely have you PCP look at it if it gets worse. Good luck ????Would I be cool just to take some Benadryl to see what happens?!It's your call hun not mine. I'm not a doctor and would hate for you to have a reaction. I'm not sure if that's an NSAID type medicine. Definitely be safe.. ????It's not an NSAID! But I decided to just try and get the rest of the surgical scrub off and leave the area alone for awhile to see if that'll do it!Good luck I hope it works for ya..

I'm in the exact same spot as you off and on these last few days. I had Gastric Bypass May 5th, so just a few days bed you. At my heaviest I was 347. Pre-op diet I lost 16 and then first week post-op I lost 17, to a grand total of 33 list in 3 weeks. Our bodies have been through so much, and its hardcore frustratingly not easy at times. And as a guy we are taught not to cry about anything or not complain because we are guys. But F*#k that, we deserve to let go of all that got us fat in the first place. I think it pretty normal to mourn food for all that it meant to us. It was a friend, comfort and so many other things to me. And hell we had to give that up, and what do we have to replace it with now? Nothing yet really. I'm still to fat to go hiking or be more active like I want yet. But I know that day is on the horizon now. We've made the hardest step already, now we just see the pounds come off. Right? And it's so much more than how I've mentioned obviously. Good luck on your journey. Hit me up if you ever need a sounding board. And sorry if I rambled or didn't quite make sense lol

GrandDaddy is so right!!! And I made a list of all the reasons why I wanted to lose Weight, and every time I wanted to eat I read my list. And I probably read that list 5-6 times an hour those first few days. I just busied myself when I felt the head hunger try and take over. The rewards are so much greater, I dropped 16 pounds on my 2 week pre-op. And I was so proud I did it. You ca do it to. I have faith in you ????good luck ????

I have missed food, and missed eating. Both certainly "Head Hunger" Im not sure that I've felt real hunger.Yeah I'm sure it's head hunger. I do miss food. I can't move to soft foods on Tuesday. Hurry up Tuesday. Can't wait to have a yogurt or some cottage cheese. Oh and soft boiled egg. Correction : can have soft foods on Tuesday.You just wait, that egg is going to be the best egg you've ever eaten. No lie. Foodgasam lolLol.
