In my opinion as long as you have went through the post op steps and feel okay then consider it retraining yourself to eat. Personally I don't have any plans on not eating a few bites of pizza when say we Celebrate with our boys basketball team for winding the 5th grade championship. Yay!
I literally had 4 tiny dime sized pieces and chewed till it was almost liquid and slipped down my throat. It completely was filling and full filled my pizza craving. Didn't go over calories for the day and don't feel guilty a bit. It's my way of making this new life work for me but yet remain in Control thankfully! . Good luck [emoji256]

Hi. Before I get any back lash from this question.. I know it's not good for you and I never tan more than 5 sessions or so to get a base tan which makes me feel a whole lot better about myself... . Any idea if you can tan 3 weeks post op? I will ask my surgeon when I see her next Monday but just curious if anyone has tanned.

I was sleeved 1/26 and can't imagine going back any time soon. I will have too of course but ugh!! I'm only a receptionist but I am one of 2 in a VERY busy office that I'm fairly new in anyways. I help take care of 5 docs and will now have an additional SURGEON who will start 2 weeks before I go back. He can see patients up to every 5 minutes on the schedule anyways.
For me, stress is a HUGE ordeal, I get headaches and want to do nothing but eat eat eat.
I'm looking for another office to transfer too bc this one's not for me. The OBGYN I worked for for the last 6 years retired so I'm forced to other areas of our hospital. Ugh ugh ugh.
So I feel for ya. Will be praying for us all.

Hi. I am 10 days post -op.
Do you think the sugar-free Water flavoring like crystal light ( I use Walmart brand) could be stalling my weight-loss? For some reason I can't handle drinking plain water lately and that was always my drink of choice. I'm hoping as the weather gets better and get some warmth here in Ohio my thirst for plain ice water comes back.

Thank you for giving the times that you add-in Protein. I'm having issues coming up with a schedule. I swear at times I feel like a young child again. I need step by step by step instructions. Grrr lol.I feel you. Almost 2 weeks out and I still crave food all the time, too. All I can tell you is to occupy your mind. Set yourself goals of how often to do your intake (I sip Clear Liquids all day... but at 730, 1030, 130, 430, and 730 I add in a full liquid item like Protein shake, Soup, yogurt, etc) keeping it evenly spaced will help with how hungry you feel. Plus, take on a hobby or start a walking regimen or something... I make a point of getting 10,000 steps a day, minimum... so when I'm feeling hungry but it's not "time" for something specific, I walk till I get to the next milestone I need out of my 10,000
It's a struggle... but it is worth it and it will improve!!

Hi. A little background first. I am 10 days post op and down 13 lbs since the day of surgery on 1/26 and weighing at home on 1/29.
Obviously, I am happy with a 13 lb loss but I've loss nothing since. I'm hoping dmaybe that was the Water weight I was holding.
I feel like I'm able to drink more and maybe it's adding to me not weighing less. Plus I gave in to my Pickle Juice craving but don't feel bloated from that at all.
Do you guys have a SET eating and drinking schedule to go by? If so could you share how you devide up the day? Do you write every single thing down?

Yum. Salt may not be good but comparing to what I ate before starting this new life I'd take that any day over 10 double stuffed oreos and glass of milk. Not to mention then I needed salt to mask all the sweet so ate chips n dip. Hmmm now I see a pattern lol.

One week post op today and I am craving Pickle Juice or green olives SO BAD!!! It use to be a favorite of mine for years but I was really hoping to kill that craving. Nope, still there. The juice or olives or vinegar was my go to for stomach bug. It always calmed it down. Weird.

For me the time released were capsules and I crushed the large pills and just opened the capsules and pored into the powdered dust pill. Didn't mess with the beads at all. I'm now taking my smaller pills but the giant one I have to crush. Looks as large as a prenatal Vitamin from years ago.
And scale yes. I have been on and have increased a bit daily but it's only been a week today and just now starting to have small bowel movements. So it will eventually drop.

A lot of my pain subsided pretty quickly like very quickly . I had surgery on Thursday (5 days ago).
I slept Thursday away pain free for the most part , OR maybe I just can't remember it lol. , next day was Friday, I had pain at times (not around the clock pain tho). They were VERY good at getting pain meds in on time.
I could have left Friday night but I still had nausea from time to time ( I've been like that for years with other surgery so nothing with sleeve). I live almost 2 hrs a way so I didn't wanna chance it. Left early on Saturday and have been doing pretty good now. Only home issues is not being comfortable in bed where the drain tube use to be and getting use to the gurgle sounds when you swallow. I swear there's a lion and a Tiger in my throat and gut roaring at each other. Lol Good luck to you and keep us informed.

I am 5 days out now and was seriously prone to nausea while in the hospital . They warned me of the anti nausea medicine right off the bat could make my mouth just like that. It didn't thankfully.

Nausea
in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Posted
Oops answered the wrong question so deleted it lol.. I'm going through the nausea as well. Usually happens in the evening but at times during the day. I firmly believe it's from a mild case of dehydration. Been trying to sip more. I just got so tired of flavored water and Water. I found Minute Maid fruit punch juice that's only 15 calories per 8 oz and 2 grams sugar and 3g carb. . Made me feel So much better. Literally.
