I'm less than a month away and absolutely can't wait to start seeing some results. I'm a big guy - 6'3" and 490 pounds. You know it's officially time to have the VSG when you have sleep apnea, high blood pressure.. And the most embarrassing thing was going into the local big and tall store and not having a dress shirt that would fit me!!! I carry most of my weight around my stomach which is not good for a dress shirt.
Here's a few of the things I'm looking forward to
Lower my blood pressure
Get rid of sleep apnea
Live longer
Feel better
Go to sporting events, concerts and movies and be comfortable/fit in the seats
Fly on an airplane comfortably
Travel the world
Climb stairs without being winded
Buy clothes at normals stores for normal prices
Take on new career opportunities
Get a relationship, get busy more often.
Look better

I have my date set for January 19th.
Is anyone else seeing Dr Kelly around this date? Anyone not seeing him but will be at the same hospital during this time?

I am getting mine on January 3rd with Dr. Ramos Kelly in Tijuana. Can't wait! Anyone else going to be at Angeles on either Jan 2nd or 3rd, or staying at Hotel Lucerna Jan 4th or 5th? Any other Dr Kelly patients going to be sleeved on those dates?
I'll be there January 19!
Post op diet - what was yours?

Just had my surgery on Monday and everything went perfect.
I haven't been hungry except today I'm feeling tired and my mind is telling me to get something in me.
I had my VSG in Mexico and the doctors guidelines are Clear liquids for 7 days post op - broth Jello Water is basically all I've been eating.
Next week it's supposed to be Protein shakes and Soups that are strained. This seems a little excessive in restriction as many people are on purée after a week or so.
What was your diet guidelines after?
