Insurance gave Dr wrong coverage info?!
Do some searches on the topic. There have been a couple of people that have gone through this and the insurance did end up covering it.

Please help I need advice !
I think the bigger question is, why did you eat something that you weren't supposed to before your surgery. But then again, you didn't ask that question.

18 days op and period is going on 14 days!
Hormones are stored in fat. Your body is being flooded with extra hormones. I'm 51 years old, and firmly in menopause. Yet, I had a period about a week after surgery.

Sleeved Saturday 8/8, home today 8/10.
My surgeon discourages Protein Drinks. One week of clear fluids, one week of all fluids, then pureed foods. He doesn't expect protein goals to be met until you're on full foods.

Quite a few questions and scared sh*tless of changing my life. Stupid, huh?
Overall, your questions lead me to think that you want the surgery but don't want to, or aren't willing to, give up your vices. I would find a good therapist to delve into these issues.

Do you weigh yourself everyday? Bad/good?
I'm 13 days out from surgery, and I'm still losing every day. I'm weighing every day and updating my weight here so I can see the graph. My plan is, if I get to a stall, I'll drop back to weighing perhaps twice a week. Right now, daily weighing is working for me. I expect that will likely change.

Nail polish?
My hospital doesn't use a clip-on pulse ox anymore. It looks more like tape or a bandaid that wraps around your finger, between the second and third joint, with a wire attached. Kept my polish on the whole time.

Planning for Help at Home After Surgery
Wow. I'm so sorry (those things can hurt!). You're the first person I've heard that had to go through this. My heparin shots stopped when I left the hospital. Still have the bruises from them though.

Can I have over cooked rice during week 2 post op?
Whenever someone says, "can I eat...", my first thought is always, "what does your surgeon/nutritionist say?" Mine says no rice, Pasta, bread, crackers for six months. I'm not sure why you think rice would be helpful. Perhaps some greek yogurt or a Protein drink.

5 days to go. Should I cheat?
So when you're two days postop and you're supposed to be on liquids only, are you going to go eat Indian food? Don't make the choice to cheat. Make the choice to succeed.

Work
Your post made me think of something. I think a lot of this has to do with your surgeon's eating plan for after surgery. Mine had me on one week of clear fluids, including 50-100 grams of carbs per day in diluted juice (diluted in half with water). Today I'm 11 days out from surgery, and I feel perfectly normal, not tired or anything. I think I would have been more tired if I wasn't getting in those calories every day.

Planning for Help at Home After Surgery
What are your responsibilities at home? Do you live on a farm and have to take care of livestock? Did you live in the city with a lot of pets? Do you have small children? Or are you like me, where the heaviest thing you have to lift is your bottle of fluids?

Question for everyone
A couple of days, however, the hospital offered to let me drive home on discharge. I did a wtf??, and they explained that if you haven't had painkillers in four hours you can drive. I hadn't had any that day at all, but I declined to drive.

Personal Style -- How will I dress as a thin woman?
You're so welcome. I have spent many an hour pouring through that site. I even wrote to the blogger and asked her a question and she sent a very thoughtful reply.

3 days post op--what did it look like?
My abdomen was sore, and I was tired. But not so tired that my life stopped. I just had to rest more frequently. I would classify it as a "non-event".

Nervous, nervous
You can make your odds of a good outcome better by doing research, like you've been doing. Investigate your surgeon (I know my state shows actions against physicians on a public database; not sure if they all do), investigate your hospital, investigate the various procedures available. Go to an orientation, ask questions. Go to a support group, ask questions of people who've had it done.

4 days post op... I am hungry?!
There is no hostility here. Astonishment is not hostility. I am shocked at your program. It doesn't mean it's wrong. You're happy that you have one incision, and you had your leak test while awake. I'm okay with five incisions, and I'm happy that my leak test was while I was asleep. Tradeoff. You're reading things into it that aren't there. It's just comparisons. "I wish you well" means truly that. I hope the program works for you. I hope you lose the weight you want to lose. I hope your hunger stops. I hope you have a long and healthy life. I wish you well.
