  1. So 23 views, no replays. lol Talked with my insurance my preauthorization was reviewed and their response was mailed out January 30th. So, it was 4-5 days to approve. My preauthorization was sent in 1/26 or 1/27. As of 2/4 GTS hadn't received the letter according to the program coordinator. So guessing by the 16th or the 23rd, I should find out my surgery date. Last night I had another dream. And this time I got a call from GTS and I needed to do a week of exercise class before my date would be scheduled. lol. For those interested, I'll keep ya posted.
  2. I was never notified you replied to this... I really dislike those body washes, they dry me out so bad...... I hope I'm that lucky because I really don't want to do the bowel cleanse or the catheter. I think as long as you are getting the recommended Protein. I don't think it would be a problem to drink 2 extra drinks to replaced 2 meals. they probably have 3 meals so we are less likely to fail the pre-op.. I find it to be hard to only drink shakes.. and then smell food at dinner time. Takes a lot of control to eat right. You've been on pre-op for a week now? how is it doing. what did you end up doing to reach your protein goal?
  3. @ Have you looked into chair exercises online. Most don't require you to put to much pressure on your legs. There's a show that comes on PBS in the afternoons "Sit and Be Fit" . Sit and Be Fit also has some videos online.. Check it out. It might work for you.
  4. I have BCBS and now I'm kinda scared..... Congrats on your date and wishing you great success.
  5. Good Luck! you do learn a lot on this site.
  6. @ I have not found you offensive at all. I was just checking.
  7. @ I feel like you are f**cking with us. looking at your posts, it seems like you're trolling.
  8. Congratulations on getting your dates Ladies!!
  9. Congrats! Best of luck and wishing you great success.
  10. sorry you're in pain with no meds. I don't blame you for the rant. I'd be upset too.... Great idea @@samuelsmom on the liquid Tylenol. I had it in my head, I have to take the meds prescribed to me.. Hopefully you have some Tylenol or someone can run for you brebbugbrielle4... Hoping you feel some relief soon..
  11. Hi All, I was just informed by the BP COORD I could have up to a 1.5 month wait to find out my surgery date. I have a 2-4 week wait to hear on approval from Fepblue, and a 1-2 week wait from GTS on a surgery date. That seems so far away, very far away.. I've been waiting for 9 days total so far..7days business... Not that I'm counting.. hahaha I've been keeping myself occupied with life and hobbies and I thought I was doing well until my dream last night. . In my dream my Mom performed the surgery and I was awake the whole time. I could feel the breathing tubes slide out of my nose and I'd have to put them back in my nose. I could even smell nitroux oxdie when i took deep breaths. I couldn't feel the pain, but i felt the pressure of my mom cutting into my stomach....It felt so real. OMGness. it was such a crazy dream. @ my fellow Michiganders, what did you do to keep your mind occupied? How long did you wait?
  12. @@Kellsbells sorry to hear your are under the weather.. were you able to have your surgery?
  13. I've read on here a couple people had issues with their nutritionist.. They were seeing a well balance diet kind versus someone that works strictly with bariatrics. I'm not sure what the outcome was. I agree with the above post, follow instructions and do the best you can do. I'd like to know how your appointment went with the NUT today. hope you update. Best wishes
  14. Reading your story and the seeing your photos. Not gonna lie, I got teary eyed... You look stunning in your wedding dress!! Congratulations on all your hard work and Congrats on renewing your vows. You are amazing and strong! Best of luck to you and to your family.

  16. I'm waiting too... Hope you hear something soon!
  17. thank you @@MissMae for all the information.. that was extremely helpful. I had no idea we had to buy a surgical book. so I can add that to my list of expenses. That's great you are having such an amazing experience with GTS. Good Luck at your pre-op and if you don't mind sharing, I'd love to know what happens at a pre=op appointment. You're gonna be sleeved by Slikkers in 11 days! How exciting!!
  18. @@BloomingLotus How are you doing? I hope all is well.
  19. lol it does sound a little dirty, but that's what makes it fun!. lol... WoW Feb 12nd! that's awesome... Have you enjoyed your experience with GTS? Do you mind sharing how long it took to get through the process. Did you have to do a EGD? Insurance carrier? out of pocket expense? How long it took you to get approved? How you found out you were approved If you can't tell, the anticipation is killing me... hahah Myself. My paperwork was hopefully submitted Monday or Tuesday.. So I'm still waiting. I was hoping I'd be sleeved in February... but, only time will tell. They haven't talked to me about cost. I'm just wondering if that's normal.
  20. !!! Congratulations!!! Best wishes with surgery and recovery!
