This is my thirteenth day of all Clear liquids. My surgery is tomorrow morning at 7:30am. I have to be there at 5:30am. I cant wait to get this done, i am so close it is all i think about. I hope i do as good as most of you have done. I am taking tomorrow off for my surgery and i am going back to work the following Monday. I hope i can get up and go in five days because that is all i have to get up and kick it. I am so proud of everyone, and keep the stories coming, they comfort me so much.

Thank you for your best wishes. I will make sure i get the sugar free popsicles. I am so excited... My new life begins tomorrow.

I am getting sleeved tomorrow, had my pre-op at the hospital yesterday.

I am on day 11 pre-op diet, liquids only. I went to the hospital today for my pre-op, my surgery is on the 10th one day and one wake-up. My question is, has anyone gained weight on the liquid? I gained six lbs. and i have not cheated once. the only thing that i can think of is the broth, it is sooooo full of sodium. I was so depressed i almost call off my surgery. But, it has taken me 4 months to get here. I just don't understand. My heart was broken. Someone please tell me this is going to work for me. Am i going to gain weight on this sleeve surgery?

Wow, we are all so close to the same date. It will be so encouraging to help each other.

Smile121 I think that you are going to do just fine. This is a great support site and we are all on the same mission. Some of us will lose faster than others and we are going to hit that proverbial wall that everyone keeps talking about where your weight just stops. We have to encourage and support each other through this journey and we will all meet together on the other side with new and improved health and vitality.

I feel bad for her as well, it is a big decision and being addicted to food is not an easy thing to do even with surgery. I feel that she needs a lot of positive feedback to give her the courage to do what she needs to do to get this done. You really did well after the surgery. I have had a lot of surgeries and the most important thing that you need to know is move, move, move. Let's try to keep her upbeat and proactive so that she can succeed.

My sleeve surgery is December 10, 2014 at 7:30 a.m. I can't believe i am about to begin a new and better chapter in my life. I am an emotional eater as well however, i want this so bad that i am not worrying about whether i can do this or not. I would not have gone through all of the grief of trying to get approved if i was not determined to succeed. I think that you should try to stay positive and have hope for a brighter future if you are going to go through this. Your life is what you make it. Only focus on what you will look like and tell yourself i can do this. I am on my seventh day of no food, just Clear Liquids and i am doing fine. I will not allow myself to go backwards, only forward. It is the hardest thing that i have ever done but i was ready. To get approved by the insurance, BCBS, i had to have my primary physician provide the insurance company with all of my records of trying to lose weight. She wrote a very strong letter to my insurance explaining my need for the surgery. I then had to go to a Psychiatrist and nutritionist, fill out a ton of paper work and argue with my insurance company for two weeks straight but i finally was approved and went back to the surgeon to set up a surgery date. Please don't give up on yourself, i will be 61 years old in a few months and i wish i had done this sooner. If you are still young give yourself a chance to live. If you don't before you know it you will be my age and will only have a few more good years to enjoy my decision. Gather up all of the courage you posses and think positive, always think positive. Don't worry about whether you can do this or not, just take a chance and do it.

I am in, i have my surgery December 10, 7:30 a.m. I am the first patient of the day. So excited, have been on liquids for 6 days now, five more to go before the big day. Not eating has not been a problem for me because i am so determined to get this done.

I just joined and read your post. Good luck to you and i am looking forward to hearing about your weight loss journey.
