    5 1/2 months post op

I am almost 3 1/2 months out and I'm down 68lbs, and i entered a biggest loser contest at my gym and it goes by body percentage lost so i up against women half my size who i have to lose double what they lose to even compete with them. Through this process i have learned that getting enough calories in a day makes a big difference. One week i was eating 800-900 and i lost 7lbs, then the next week i ate 500-650 in calories and i only lost 2.7lbs. Through those weeks i kept my exercise the same of 6 days a week, 2 hours a day, 1 hour and 40mins cardio and 20mins Strength training. So just like was suggested, find out how many calories work for your body and your activity level. My nutritionist said normally we should be intakeing 800 - 1200 after the 2 month mark following surgery.

    Hot Flashes and Nausea

That's what has me worried because it happens when i not eating so it can't be from dumping.
  3. Hi everyone, i have been exercising 6 days a week and 2 hours a day. Two weeks ago i ate 800-900 calories per day and lost 7lbs, then last week i eat about 500-600 per day and only lost 3lbs. My question is how many calories is everyone eating, how much exercise are you doing, and can you see a difference in your weight lose per week?

    Need to go shopping

My clothes have become to big too and my weightloss coordinator suggested buying sweatpants, leggings, and other cheap clothing because i will only be in them for about a month before having to buy more.

    Protein help

I'm 10 weeks out and i get my 60-65 grams in by having my premier protein shake for breakfast which is 30 grams of protein. Then for snack i will have a greek yogart. Then lunch i have a small chill from Wendy's. Next a banana for my next snack. Then for dinner i may have a tysons grill filet breast and vegetables. Thats my total today and it was 65 grams of protein and 657 calories.

    Weight loss stalls

Here I am at 5 weeks and I'm down 31lbs, and I'm wondering is the normal weightloss for 5 weeks?
  21. Hi, I'm five weeks today! My surgery was Dec 15th and I'm down 31lbs. I'm doing good food wise, I'm still struggling with get all the water down. I'm going through a dumping right now, and I will never try honey nut Cheerios again. They don't have a lot of sugar and I had skim milk, but now I'm nauseated, having heat flashes, and running to the restroom. I have learned my lesson!

    Help! TMI Beware

Be careful when you take milk of magnesia! I took it and it snook up on me in my sleep, and let's say I almost had to change my sheets!

    Will I Never Learn?

I had mine on December 15 and I totally understand how you feel. I had a oz of mushy collards and pureed Mac and cheese and it felt like it just got stuck in and I had to make myself throw it back up because I was so nauseated and after I did I was much better. I am going to try the stage three baby food.

16 days post open. Side pain

I had mine on the 15th also and I have pain in my lower stomach while sitting and laying down at times. My surgeon said that my stomach is still healing and it adjusting to the change in food! I have been losing at a steady pace and am down 22lbs in two weeks.
