  8. Two major issues - #1 Having to eat a low calorie restricted diet for the rest of my life is daunting and overwhelming. #2 - Loose skin. How did you decide it was worth it?
  9. I just started doing a yoga dvd today. The DVD is called Heavyweight Yoga and it's specifically designed for overweight people. Google Abby Lentz, the instructor, she has a youtube channel and a website called Heartfelt Yoga. VERY good! I have the 2nd DVD and she's releasing a new one in the new year...
  10. Hmmm... maybe there is a connection there... Yeah, we'll just have to wait to find out!
  11. I'm so excited to find your thread. I'll definitely be following your progress, be sure to keep us updated! I'm interested in getting the sleeve as well.
  12. Right now if I eat a very small amount of food and then try to exercise I get lightheaded, weak, tired, and feel like passing out. Does that change after the surgery? I see lots of posts about people exercising 1-2 hours a day... how do you do that on so few calories without feeling like passing out?
  13. What are you doing to fill the food void now that you've had surgery?
  14. This thread is AMAZING!! Ever since I joined this forum I've been slowly going through this entire thread, yes, all 52 pages, finally finished last night, and I just want to say you are all SO inspirational, and thank you for sharing your journeys and pics. It means a lot to someone who is just starting out...
  15. I'm totally filing that away for future reference... best.response.ever. LOL!!!
  16. The best advice I got from a close friend was to use short firm answers, don't explain yourself, don't justify your decisions, just be firm and confident. Eventually they get the message. Big hugs...
  17. I could have written this word for word...
  18. I've read a lot of reviews about the surgeon my MD has referred me to, and a lot of them said he requires you to lose 10% of your weight before you can start the bariatric surgery process. Did your surgeon have a similar requirement? What diet did you do while waiting?
  19. Don't mind at all. I did something called Somatic Experiencing Therapy. I sent you a PM with more personal info... Hope it helps!
