  1. I never understood the point of hiding the surgery as if people are ashamed they needed help to live longer and better. I have a friend whose wife allegedly had "Hernia surgery" then all of a sudden lost over 100lbs...Yeah, ok.... Not one single gym selfie on her social media, in fact I never hear of her working out a single day.. But she lost all this weight...lol Seriously whats your reasons for hiding it??

    I've Fallen Off!!!

So sorry for the loss of your sister. I talked about emotional triggers in one of my videos and how real it is for us, similar to an addict falling back after an emotional set back. Without much information on your daily diet, the types and amounts of foods you're eating and the amount or types of exercise you're doing or not doing, there is very little advice anyone of us could give... Besides the basics, dense proteins and veggies...I'm not a fan of giving overweight people cheese products at all, especially mozzarella cheese, the calories aren't worth it and they just aren't nutritionally dense. Please provide us with an honest rundown of the foods you're eating and the exercise you're doing and we could give some advice from there.

I’ve regained ALL the weight back 😢♀️

Part of the issue is accountability and the other part is identifying the issue and taking steps to address it. I'm 225 lbs and can't eat as much as you in one sitting. I think you need to address some addictive personality traits before you consider any revisions. You need to start small with making better choices when eating, and I do mean small adjustments at a time so it becomes sustainable over time. However soda and french fries should never be part of anyone's diet. You have to remember a point where it started to spiral out of control and you began to regain the weight. Go back to that point and identify what caused you to start making the bad choices you have been making when it comes to food selection. I know boredome and stress are big triggers for me. It's good you identified that your are beginning to derail now than later on down the road. Now it's time to put on your big girl pants and crack down on yourself and your daily intake. No amount of surgery is going to help you until you address the other issues making you eat badly.

I’ve regained ALL the weight back 😢♀️

I have great success with a grazing style of a diet. But its out of necessity for my body type. I work out I am VERY muscular man and if I were 0% body fat, which is impossible, I would still be 180lbs. At 10% body fat Im still at 210 and right now at 20% I am 223 to 225 and comfortable where I am at. I prefer smaller meals more often during the day. I get in about 6 to 8 meals a day to get the caloric needs for my body. I keep them small and dont like to feel really full...This diet doesnt work for some people..

I believe I was just insulted at my gym.

Most men of our generation would welcome sexual harassment, the new millennial snowflakes and the PC Police however, may have an issue with it..

Not nearly as much as I would like them...And I have been told I am well above average looking, I believe the girls exact words were "VERY good looking.." and she was 21 years old and Im 43...So it felt good. I love to be complimented but some guys can take "oh you look nice" and interpret it as "I want to do you now"!!!! ..... I always like the old half compliment from women at work, "Oh you clean up nice"..... I just dont like when women I dont know well would say something that if I said to them they would make me the next sexual predator in the news..Thats not called for.. If i know the woman really well and its a family friend, it doesnt bother me as long as we are both on that same playful vibe.

Uh, not really...Just if you WANTED to be a stripper, you could...That type of weird compliment...

I believe I was just insulted at my gym.

I will go out on a limb and say at times, certain women can be WAY WORSE when paying a compliment cause they feel the old double standard rule applies to them..I often had girls walk by, and literally say "Damn"....Or "hello, how you doin?" in the Joey from friends voice.. I have also been called Delicious, right here on these very forums..lol (granted I posted an underwear picture...lol..)

    yes, this....

Making it rain- ever see a rap video where the dude is just shuffling off cash from a large stack in his hands, in the direction of a stripper on the floor as if its raining $20 bills...IE making it rain!!!
  13. JerseyJules

I believe I was just insulted at my gym.

were they doing the "making it rain" gesture or did they actually have dollar bills out?? Sounds like a bunch of younger idiots to me, but in their mind they were paying you a compliment some how, some way...
  14. I think dating websites generally attract scummy people cause it seems like the person might be a little desperate. I remember the best women I have met in my life have been unexpected and when I was not looking to meet people..The ones I met in bars, or nightclubs were messed up with tons of issues usually.. I have liked all sorts of women in my life but the most important thing I looked for was confidence, which in my opinion is sexy as hell, and dating websites seem to strip people of their confidence. I think the old fashioned way of meeting people is the best and it has to be completely random.

I’ve regained ALL the weight back 😢♀️

I got to the part where you said you're eating a double cheeseburger, fries and a coke and I think I found your problem...No offense but I think you need some tough love right now..Youre eating like complete crap and I hope you realize that..No amount of surgery is going to help you until you clean that diet plan up...
  16. Before 5-11 1/2 and 298lbs with a 46 wiast after 223lbs with a 34 waist...
  17. 1) the way I feel. No more inflammation in my joints, I feel comfortable in any thing I wear, I can tie my shoes without holding my breath..lol 2) the way I look, my confidence has come back, I make more eye contact during conversations and command respect. 3) my sex life...It been a while since I got my wife to climax in any other position other than her on top, but now I dont crush her as much I suppose and she gets multiple orgasms now from all different positions..Plus she seems more into me now.. 4) the attention and flirting from the opposite sex (sometimes the same sex..lol) I must admit it feels good and its more noticeable to see these younger women flirting with me or looking at me in the gym or when Im out. I catch them sneaking peaks all the time now...Yeah boy!!! Feels nice to be noticed.. 5) clothes shopping and dressing sharp, its so much more easy to find decent and stylish clothes in my size now..Not many modern brand names make a size 46 wiast and 2 xl shirt...Plus I look great in slim fit everything now!! 6) the fact that I have potentially increased my life span and reduced the probability of me getting ill in the near future.
  18. I would limit myself to 4 oz for now and fill with veggies. Im a 220 lb dude and I can just eat a 4oz tuna steak at one sitting, at 9 months post op. I would never attempt 8oz at one meal anymore. I break my meals into smaller meals to keep my metabolism going all day. So I may eat 2 meals 2 to 3 hours apart, where I split 4 to 6 oz of protein. This works best for me as I dont like that really full feeling if I eat the entire 4 to 6 oz at once.

WHY IS THE SCALE GOING UP

Well within reason..lol I fluctuate between 1800 and 2400 a day. depending..But Im also a 220 lb man, so you need to see where you need to be at calorie wise.
  20. 5 oz of liquid protein? thats not an issue...
  21. JerseyJules

WHY IS THE SCALE GOING UP

#1 STAY OFF THE SCALE DAILY!!!! weigh in weekly, I fluctuate as much as 5lbs a day from morning to night when I weight daily. Its water weight. #2 get a body fat monitor and check your body fat % weekly instead of focusing on weight. You can get them on Amazon for about $25 and are easy to use.

    Am I eating too much?

I address this in my videos, you really need to find an eating pattern that works for you, not a cookie cutter eating plan given out by a nutritionist. Im 5-11 and down to 225lbs and muscular as hell. I could never eat 3 times a day, my metabolism is too fast. I eat 6 to 8 small meals a day. Eating every 2 to 3 hours is how your supposed to eat especially if your athletic and working out, it keeps your metabolism moving. I basically do this, if I'm hungry, I eat..... If I'm not hungry, I don't eat.....I don't follow my doctors BS eating plan, I follow my body. contrary to popular belief, you have to eat to lose weight....Its the Types of food and quantities as well as timing that is the trick.

    pinched feeling in stomach

I still cant do a pull up or hand because it hurts by ab muscles, I get the pinch near my incision sites when I over do it. If it gets bad or feels internally bad, I would see a doctor about it. could be gallstones.

    Freaking myself out

When you go to solids, you will see how little you can eat compared to before. The liquid phase for me I was constantly hungry and could drink almost all day. Dont stress it, just drink your proteins for now.
  25. You just had surgery in October, your not even settled in to a normal diet yet, relax a little..When I was 1 month out I could barely eat 2 oz of tuna and 1 oz of hummus. You're going to be able to eat more food at 3 to 6 months out and feel more normal, but you will feel the restriction compared to your old stomach. I eat about 1800 to 2200 calories a day now, where at 1 month I was at about 800 a day. The key is to increase your activity and quality of foods as you progress. And from what I read you really dont stretch your sleeve out per say, you kind of rewire your brain to its new stomach. Eating crappy foods will get you fat, eating lean and green will keep you fit.
