1. Thanks for the tip, I found one gal who is having surgery with Aceves the day I fly in, hopefully we can meet! Thanks also for the encouragement about Aceves, I have heard nothing but great things about him and staff!
2. Hi, I am LizzyM, also will be in Mexicali same time as you. I fly in on your surgery date, mine is Sept. 30, would love to keep in touch and share journeys, Perhaps we will meet up in the hospital! Best of luck to you!

3. Hello everyone, I am LizzyM and new to this site. I am an old timer on the OH boards, but still pre-op. My surgery of choice,of course is the vsg with Dr. Aceves. I have read so many positive things about him on both boards which helps me in knowing I have chosen a great surgeon. My surgery is Sept. 30, any one else near or on that date? I will be coming from Ohio to Mexicali. I am very excited! Hope to make many new friends here. Liz
4. Hi again, I found the chatroom but it comes up page unavailable. Forgot to mention my sister lives in Bowling Green Kentucky!

Why doesn't being "skinny" fix it all?

Perhaps the fact that you are at a healthy weight will give u the strength you need to work on other areas in your life that need a tuning. Being the weight I am now only makes me hate myself more and the thought of trying to fix a marriage, or just anything else is too overwhelming. I too have many things to fix and hopefully when I get my surgery I will become the strong woman I used to be. Good luck!
9.
Hello everyone, this site is wonderful! I have finally decided that come heck or high water, I MUST do something about my weight. I know quite a few people who have had the traditional bypass surgery, and have done very well. I know from researching the lapband it is safer, the lose is slower, etc. Has anyone who has already been banded wished they had gone for the full bypass? I would sure hate to have it done then wish I had done the other. I know the risks are great but so is weighing what I weigh, thanks in advance for any help. Blessing to you all.

Looking For Dr In Cleveland Clinic

The only place I know of in the Cleveland area that does lap/bypass is St. Vincent Charity. I know several gals who have had the bypass there with Dr. Ben-Meir and state they would never go elsewhere. I live in Lorain county and again have not heard of a program at the clinic. Good luck and if you do find one, please let me know, Thanks. Lizzy
