  1. I can't eat chiken anymore either. I've tried all kinds with all kinds of "goo" and still it gets stuck every time, so I've crossed it off of my list of foods not to eat.

Good luck to you! = )

P.S. I was losing slow for a while but have picked up just recently. I haven't changed my ticker but I am now down to the 2's = ) 294.0.

  2. Hi Loulou,

I've been exactly where you are. For my own sanity I had to quit - I couldn't take it anymore and felt I would be a failure if I stayed in that much of an unhealthy situation. I would write a letter to the HR Dept. (my office was just the owner, one other co-worker, and me, so no HR to turn to). But I would still leave. You owe it to yourself. Here's a suggestion - take it for what it's worth.........if you don't have to work, why not go back to school for something else? What do you have a passion for? Once you find your passion - go for it!!

Anyway, I say you are more important than any job! Take care of you!

  3. Judy,

I did as you are doing.............STOP!! I didn't know about this site before or I would have stopped. I did lose 20 pounds prior to surgery, however, my liver was still so enlarged on the date of surgery that when they went to move it, it cracked and started to bleed. I had to stay in the hospital overnight for observation and the surgery lasted a lot longer than was planned. I must confese this scared the heck out of my husband and parents. Thanks for letting me share.

  4. Wow! I thought I was the only one to go through this. In fact, just yesterday, I had one of the liquid ones here at work and had to go wash out my tidy whities. Ugh! I was so embarrased. I'm just glad that I have the first hour here all to myself so my noises (smell) don't bother anyone else. It sure is difficult to get down the 3 steps of my last bus in the mornings. I always make sure I'm the last one off --- poor bus driver! LOL

  5. Hi Everyone!

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. It all went fine yesterday! I walked in and had lost 4 more pounds - yes! Dr. Clinch put in some Litacaine (sp) and then injected 3 cc's of saline (mine is the large 10cc band), then had me drink some Water to make sure that everything was okay. Done. Just a simple 5 minute process. Wow!! Do I feel good now. I still don't feel like I have a whole lot of restriction, but Dr. said to give it a couple of weeks and if there doesn't seem to be any more restriction to come back in for another fill. From the sounds of it, I'd rather be under than over filled.

Well I guess that's it for now. Talk to you all again soon.

  6. Hi all!

I go in to get my first fill in about 2 hours from now. I'm really nervous about how it will go but am very excited to really get with the program. I have not had any restriction since surgery and have been eating way too much food. I need that restriction to hold me back! That's all -- just needed to release some of the anxieity I'm feeling. Thanks for listening
