  1. I am 4 weeks post op. I renewed my gym pass. Before surgery I was taking phentermine 37.5 (appetite suppressant, energy booster) so I'd be able to work out for hours.

On phentermine I would push hard and burn lots of calories. I loved what the pill did for me. But my doctor no longer wants me on it because of the long term risk.

Going to the gym without my energy booster is awful. I can barely do 10-15 min on the elliptical at a low resistants. And the treadmill is just a joke. I can barely get to 5 min.

Can someone please help me... Is there something out there that will help me in the gym? Get me going.

  2. I haven't experienced that before. Maybe you should see your doctor. Just for reassurance. The Internet is never good when trying to diagnose yourself. I have a question for you though? Where the heck do you get all this energy to workout? I just started back in the gym yesterday. And it killed me to do 10 min on the elliptical. But before surgery I was on phentermine. Energy and food depressant. And I could run/walk miles, stairmaster, and elliptical. Now trying to workout naturally. I struggle

  3. Thank you for responding Maggie. I joined the gym yesterday. So I'm hoping I can fill my time up there. My fiancé and I bond by sitting on the couch watching Netflix every night, stuffing my face with whatever crap I can find. I told him yesterday that we need to put a hold on our Netflix QT. Until I can learn to sit around and

  4. Yes. To be honest I haven't followed my diet at all. I eat what ever crap I crave. Like the other night my family went out to "Wing Stop" I wasn't gonna sit there watching them eat. I ate 2 wings and a couple fries. I can't fit much in. But these cravings I can't seem to kick. Today I decided to stick to my diet. It was tough. I had to stay moving. The second I took a break or sat down. I'd start craving.

  5. This is my first time on here. Still learning. But anyways... I'm 3 weeks 5 days post op. By the 2nd week I was eating bad food that I would crave pre op. Of course I'm not eating as much. But my choices of food are far from what I'm allowed. I can't cut my craves. The sad part about it, Is I'll eat it, and have no interest in it.
