I also have a 30+ 2yr old and when I got out of the hospital I was at my mom's. ..but my son was very clingy...but luckily he climbed most of the way...I'm about 3 weeks out and I pick him up very little and when I do I left with my legs. It's hard having toddlers at this stage. .heck it's hard period lol

One of my incisions bruised and I had a hematoma and it had to be opened up. You sound like what I was going through...it could be since you are tensing up because of your stomach that could be messing with your back. I hope you heal quickly

I do water down my shakes because they are too sweet. To my understanding it doesn't affect the protein at all

The doc had to give me some anti spasm pills to help me get down water and my shakes...I'm able to drink a lot more water and I have to force myself with the shakes not cause they won't go down but because I'm over them already lol ???? but today i ate a half bowl of soup out...went to Olive Garden and had the gnocchi minus the gnocchi lol I was so happy and finally felt "good" so tired of sweet stuff

Thursday will be my puréed part of my diet but till them I'm on full liquids. I'm over protein shakes broth and jello still kinda gets stuck even though the doc gave me meds to help. Does any one know anything that I can "eat" at this stage? FYI I do have unflavored powder

so starting Tuesday i was havingreally bad pain in one of my incisions and i wasn't able to drink more than 2 sips and i would feel full for the rest of the day...actually kinda miserable.So I called my doctor and went in. He gave me some pills that help with the drinking I can actaully drink about 20 oz or more of liquid a day. He said that the pain was normal because that is were he took my stomach out. Well long story short the next day i couldn't move at all with out that spot spasming i couldn't get of the couch...heck it took me an hour to get on the couch...i was by myself and no one home...i had to call 911 ( iknow i feel like a moron but i really couldn't move and that pain was insane!!) well i apperantly had an infection and i have a lovely open wound!! I'm glad so many people by this time after their surgery they are ready to conqure the world. I felt really good afterwards and the weekend but dangit i swear this always happens. I'm able to drink butnow my SOY base protien shake is making me sick to mystomach. I can't win right now!!! i wannabe able to move!! lol sorry it was a rant and a jumble of my thoughts right now!

It was my surgeon but it was a small pocket of infection that he took out.he said it probably was a hematoma that got irritated. He told me to take my temp and i did...nothing but I feel better than I did before the pain..i can move around and sleep comfortably any just about any position (except on my stomach I think I'm just nervous) but if I feel worse don't worry he will be called and I will get my meds

thank you all ladies!! They didn't give me any antibotics he said it wasn't to that point ....i don't know i thought he was going to...I guess becasue i didn't have a fever. But today is still better...i still haven't finished a Protein shake yet...i drunk over half of it though,

I haven't drunk anything completely... I just got back from the doctor and he gave me some anti-spasms meds. I have sipped on the same bottle of water since Monday. I'm on full liquids. So hopefully the new meds will help. I think I was scared to drink anything because it kept getting stuck. I'm trying to keep the faith and not be discouraged..i know this was the best thing for me...I guess I'm just impatient

I really think this is head hunger. I just want something to chew...I'm hanging in there I eat my cream soups and full liquids but I thought I had a grasp somewhat on the mind hungry since I did well on pre op. This really kinda sucks. But I know there's a reason I'm doing this

i had my surgery on the 4th and i have noticed that my stomach is sticking out more..i'm just not getting use to the 2 sips then feeling like everything is about to come up then 20 mins later hungry...not head hunger but actually hungry. iu eat 2 more spoons or sips then done...is that normal tobe hungry so soon?

Man I can't get a handle on the sip thing...my surgery was on the 4th and I think the max I can do is 2 sips and 2 tbs of broth. ..

It taste good in the crystal light fruit punch. ..made the jello hadn't eaten any of it yet

Today is surgery day!!!! I'm nervous excited and every emotion you can think of. I'm disappointed because I only lost 11 lbs on my pre op diet...i know that sounds weird but I wanted to be on the 320s day of surgery.im 336 today...and I DIDN'T CHEAT!! Heck half the time I just went to bed and didn't drink all my protein shakes..wish me luck!!

I'm getting to go home today!! I ate 2 spoons of broth wi the protien powder in it..now I'm done. ..lol

yeah i'm still in the hospital on water and popsicles and the water does make me sick....I really hope theylet me go home tomorrow even thoughIhaven't passed gass and ihave had the zofran about 3 times already today becasue of the water.

my botom blood preasure was a little higher when i was in pain but now it has went to normal. I didn't have a drain just a catheter..which came out this morning. I hope the rest of your recovery goes well.
