  1. My doc says no bread rice pasta or fruit 70%protein 30% vegetables till goal biscuits got me in this situation
  2. I am three months post op down 55+lbs I love my sleeve but I wish I had written a letter to myself listing why I chose surgery and more than just lose weight. I have been fortunate-no problems no complications but that has been a hinderance in a way. I could drink 64 oz from 2 weeks out and a taste here or there of "forbidden" food or even cheating does not cause me any problem. I am back in ketosis mode losing a pound a day. I would encourage you to write yourself a letter listing everything you want, not just weight loss. This is a big investment in your life and when things get easy and you go off track, because you will go off track, something to help you remember you're important and loved and find your way home. Enjoy the journey life is good!
  3. My actual surgery was 45 min (sleeve only) and an hour in recovery
  4. My doc says no potatoes or corn or carbs (doesn't include healthy beans) till goal. Carbs slow or stop weight loss
  5. My surgery was on the 17th took under an hour and was perfect. No gas! However I woke up dry heaving which lasted 28 hours turns out I am allergic to hydrocodone. Two days and 3 anti nausea medicines and I was home. My drain site was the only tender spot. Today I am four days post op and feel like myself. Still have occasional stomach spasms which are decreasing and I was able to get 46 oz of water down. I have transitioned to clears which was a great change from broth and jello. I had amazing tomato soup! I couldn't finish it but it was great. I did have one issue. The steri strips peeled off today my incisions look great one is bruised where the stomach came out and the site where my drain was is ugly but the problem is I am apparently allergic to the tape. Skin came off with the tape so I have beautiful incisions and ugly raw spots all around them. Doc said put neosporin and band aids just on the sores not the incisions so I used 12 band aids and look ridiculous. Today I took my daughter to the doctor and she asked when my surgery was. When I told her it was 4 days ago she was amazed how great I was doing. So many have complained about weight gain from the hospital I weighted at home and was the same when I went in two days later I am down 8 lbs. good luck to everyone waiting! See you in the losers bench!
  6. I was sleeved on the 17th at 3 I came out of anesthesia super nauseated. The doc said my procedure was perfect and he can't figure out the nausea. I am allergic to so much drugs this didn't surprise me. On the plus side my pain is minimal and no gas pain

  9. I am getting sleeved and gall bladder removal on Monday. I have worked for so long to get this done and am excited. As I have shared with a few family members and friends EVERYONE has had to tell me oh that's great but then they have to tell me of all the people they know who have had it done and they all know someone who it "didn't work for" Really people?
  10. I know gastric sleeve who haven't had the success they hoped for but they also did not commit to a lifestyle change my brothers had surgery one lost 140 one lost 65. The one who lost less blamed the surgeon not his choice to eat pizza and fast food. 6 months out. Commitment that golden year is everything
  11. I'm 11/17 too! Had an ultrasound of my gall bladder this morning. No results yet but I'm feeling pretty confident it'll come out at the same time. Right now I'm excited for the surgery but terrified of the gas and drain
