My Sleeve is on Thursday 12/18 and I am indifferent.
I am excited to get it over with I will say that but then having attended 2 parties this weekend having a few of my Favorite beers and thinking "well this won't happen again" was a bit depressing....not that I am a power drinker I just like quality craft beers...but then I also realized how uncomfortable i felt, just big and tired.....realized if all goes well that won't happen again either...which is an awesome to look forward to, but the time at home with the food or lack thereof is a bit concerning....especially over holiday. Then I think " what if it doesn't work, what if my thyroid is slowing it down as well" Dr feel all will be fine, i have asked all my questions, finish stocking up today, (broth and broth..lol)
My biggest concern is not being able to go to gym, when i am at gym the discipline that allows me to eat right is on point, without it I tend to lose focus....but time will tell.

My surgery is in 3 days, and I am nervous as hell. I'm riding feelings like waves: one minute I feel like this is the best move I've ever made, and the next I wonder if my personality will diminish without food. I'm getting support from my wife, but she's nervous as hell, too, which does nothing to help!
Tonight I'm meeting my mom and dad for my Last Supper. I don't want to go nuts, but this is a milestone, and I want to share it with people I love.
    But the nerves...the NERVES!
I need someone who's not worried for me to give me some words of encouragement for the next week. Maybe that someone is you!
You have a minute? I'm asking for a few folks to send me a little bump of good vibes. It would go a long way!
    Thanks,
    Bob

My surgeon said they want us walking every day post surgery, that I should be back to same cardio at about 2 weeks, and light lifting.. and heavy lifting and crossfit at 4 weeks.

@@quayle71, I am m3 months out. I hit the gym about 10 days post surgery but just for cardio the first week or so. at around 3 weeks I started doing light exercises which did NOT touch my core. if I did the wrong exercise I would immediately feel it in my incisions. it wasn't until about 6 weeks that I no longer felt pain at the incision site and went on to a full unrestricted exercising. my first body comp showed that I lost muscle but Doc said that because of my vigorous exercising, I greatly reduced the pounds of muscle lost. nothing fancy, just basic weight lifting on machines and free weights. rotating daily, Protein directly following a workout for better recovery. start my workout with 40 minutes of cardio then finish with about 25 minutes of lifting.
    best of luck Thursday!!!

Bob and Quayle71 - Read this section -- it will give you something to REALLY look forward to in a short while...http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/219760-sex-oh-my-god-sex/ I know the surgeons can't advertise this, but it is coolest thing ever. That and going to the gym and being able to do sit up and planks like a pro. I am only 6 weeks out and I've gone from 15 sit ups to 50. It' like being 17 again. I'm 51, but I still remember being 17.
