  1. Hello Hineydoll3 ... when are you scheduled for? Who's your surgeon? I'm in nj . Where you from. Hope u don't mind all the questions. I would love to be resleeve buddy's . I'm torn between the bypass and sleeve. Right now I've been approved to be resleeved and I see my dr on May 1rst to talk more about it . Scheduled for May 30th . I'm so scared as I can't find too many people with resleeves. Do you know what bougie was used on your original sleeve? I'm so happy you wrote me. PLEase keep in touch.

  2. Hello all,

I am 9 months out from having the sleeve and down 55 lbs and have been the same weight for 6 mths or so.

I'm seriously considering having the bypass surgery since my weight loss has been a minimal even though

I am doing the best I can. My stats are started at 293lbs. current weight is 237lbs. goal weight 150lbs

I would love to know if anyone has had and then had the RNY afterwards and if you were successful with losing the rest of the weight.

I know youre all wondering if I've done all that I was supposed to do to be successful with the sleeve and for the most part I have.

Thanks in advance for any feedback

  3. It's totally normal to be scared

I'm 13 days post op and was sooooo scared I cried all the way as they wheeled me to the preop room but I knew it was going to save my life , I have no regrets and never once did. Was a breeze. You will be just fine.

Must be brave, cry if you need to and definatly ask for some relaxation meds to calm down it helped me. I only wish I did this 20 yrs ago !

  4. I have been keeping track of everything on my fitness pal And I get all my fluids I too . The entire purpose of having this surgery is to be able to physically have that feeling between your ribs of restriction so you know when to stop . I'm telling you I don't have it , therefore I am in the same boat as before surgery . I am certainly trying but when there's no difference what can I do then it's just another failed diet where I can't control the portion as usual. Why did everyone have this surgery ... So you feel full!

  5. Hi all, I am only eating baby food fruits, puréed Soups, bariatric oatmeal thinned w milk, protien shakes, and yogurt. I add unflavored protien powder to everything which ups the calories. I'm so scared this just didn't work for me. If I could control my portion size I wouldn't have needed the surgery. I feel the same as I did prior to surgery. No restriction at all. I know I shouldn't have done this today but I ate a whole banana to see if I'd feel any thing and nada!!! I could've eaten another. Please tell me this isn't happening !

  6. Hi I've done all my preops

Started in February and had a surgery date in October

    but backed out from nerves.

Now I have a date of Dec 12 and I'm ready to back out again !! I am so undecided , I cannot make up my mind! Driving myself crazy!

    Here's a little about my situation ...

I'm in a very bad marriage of 18 yrs that is on the verge of ending but we are living together for our. 3 kids , on top of that husband is non supportive of surgery. I've already lost 1/2 my hair during the past 10 yrs and Drs. still trying to figure out why. I am extremely attached to the hair I have left which I may lose if I have this surgery. I'm scared if I have complications my husband will bail on me, since he's already said he wants to separate although he says to go do it if I want and that he's not in a rush to divorce yet. I am completely dependent on him as a home maker with 3 kids, I'm worried I may regret the surgery but I've tried for 20 yrs to lose this weight with no success.

So I know I need this drastic change but it seems my situation says damned if I don't damned if I do!

Please I really need some sound advise without criticism , I'm already pretty down. Thank you in advance for your input .
