  1. Here is my head shot with the big hair going...lord o mercy, if anyone can shrink my big head for my avatar I would appreciate it. I tried and had no luck.
  2. Hi Chrissy!!! I had UHC with a BMI of 51 with some co-morbidities(severe sleep apnea, swelling, wheezing). I started the whole process on 7/28/05 and was approved on 8/13. UHC is pretty easy to work with.
  3. My prayers are for you and your husband during this tough time.
  4. Welcome Jolene, this is a awesome support forum!
  5. My thoughts are with you in this time of need. Remember your mother is always just a milli-second of a thought away. When you go into surgery see if you can take just a tiny something that belonged to her and that way you will know physically she is right there with you. Be at peace.
  6. Welcome home Lynn, let us know how you are perculating!!
  7. Welcome Barb!!! Alot of good people on here for support or if you just need to vent! :-)
  8. Hey Dawne, welcome back! We have a Fall Weightloss Challenge that just started over the support board. Might find plenty of motivation there!
  9. I moved this from food... Hi all, I was just wondering, once I have my band in place, I want to make sure that I am staying away from soft proteins once I am on regular food. Is tuna and chicken salad consider a soft protein or are we talking liquid protein as being soft? I did try to locate a thread with this information, but I didn't see anything that specifically dealt with this question. I did read the post from LaMadam I believe that talked about staying on soft proteins longer than one should and what could happen to your band. I want to avoid that. I appreciate any feedback ya'll have. Thanks!
  10. Horray for you Dee!!! I know what a stress releiver that must be for you!!! :-)
  11. Vines, you are an inspiration to us all and we look forward to seeing what pearls of wisdom you are going to impart to us! Don't ever change that wonderful part of you. The weight loss will come...I have seen you post that to others struggling with weight loss hundreds of times already. You are looking great and more active and you have lost some weight along the way. Are logging the food that you eat? That really helps me tremendously to keep an eye on myself to make sure I am doing what I need to. Are you getting enough food for the amount of activity that you are now engaged in? I don't even have the band yet and already I think I can give advice...lol. *rolling eyes* Anyway Vines you are doing great and I admire you greatly.
