Well I did it !! I made it through my liquid diet the first week !! I have one more week to go. I haven't cheated once ! I have been pretty good hormonally also. I do have headaches and man oh man am I hungry. I just cannot tolerate the soups and bars. They make me want to vomit. I sure hope this week goes FAST !!! Wish me luck !!

Thanks KathyRS ???? I only have two days left until my surgery. I took one day at a time and it seemed to get me thru. Wishing you lots of luck !!

@@TXTinana My daughter was doing all the cooking but she is away this week. My husband is good at calling up and ordering take out LOL

@@TXTinana It happens. I am sure you will get back on track !! Only a few more days. I have been cleaning and organizing every square inch of my house. I stocked the fridge and freezer for my hubby and the kids for my two week pre-op. This weekend I plan to restock the fridge and freezer for my post op and get my laundry all caught up and my house tip top. I plan on keeping super busy.

I am afraid of dying first and foremost and leaving my kids without a mother. I am worried that I may have too much scar tissue to proceed, or my liver was still enlarged and in the way (even though I have been so diligent with my liquid diet) I am worried that I will have a heart attack,stroke or a blood clot. Can you tell I am a worry wort ? SIGH ... And I almost forgot to add, having complications. Especially because I am self pay and I don't want to bankrupt my family.

I had one idiot former acquaintance who made me feel so crappy about my weight. We have a mutual friend who is very ill and is extremely thin due to her illness and she related the two of us both "grossing her out" I apparently gross her out because I am very overweight, and the other woman grosses her out because she was very underweight. I have to admit, I can't wait to see her reaction when I start loosing ... BTW, she is far from thin or attractive so she should keep her rude opinions to herself.

I am on my 6th day of the liquid diet. I cannot tolerate the optifast soups and bars. They make me want to vomit. I have been doing 5 optifast shakes, broths, SF jello and SF Popsicles. I'm hungry but managing better than I ever imagined. I wish you luck and I know it's hard and it's so awesome to have so much support with this forum ????

Today is the first day of my liquid diet. My surgery is scheduled 8/17/15. I haven't even made it thru one entire day and I feel like giving up already. I need some good advice please ... Thanks guys !!!

I am on day 5 and I am hanging in there. I have kept myself so busy and I am taking one day at a time and it seems to be working out OK. I had headaches the first few days and I cried the very first day to my husband. He just reminded me of how hard I have worked and how bad I want to make this life change. I have to get thru this weekend though ... I have increased my activity levels as well. My surgeon suggested I get more activity in these next two weeks because it may help with my recovery. Good Luck everyone !!! We have got this !!!!!

I am also the 17th !! I am excited, nervous, anxious all wrapped up in one.

My surgeon has prescribed blood thinners for me for 30 days post op. They are given by injection only. Anyone else doing/done these injections ?

I am in the same boat @BrownEyedTxGirl. All surgeons have different pre op rules I suppose. I have read some pre op patients have lean meat or fish also ... I am jealous lol
