  1. I was constipated and was told by my surgeon to try a reflexologist ! I didn't believe in it, but it worked after 1 session! I'm now a full believer! You have to try it once!!!
  2. Can I suggest seeing a reflexologist to take away the pain and nauseous? I did not believe it could work and it was like magic, I feel like a new person all my nauseous and pain has left the building!!
  3. I had a reflexology treatment and it cleared everything up !! I'm just been released from hospital ????
  4. Wow, so I have been on Insulin for 25 years and we share the same Gastric by pass Day! I also had mine done on 12 Jan, I'm having tons of hypo's and adjusting my insulin pump daily! I had a bad complication after the op and had ketoacidosis, was really scary, spent 7 days in ICU! Still in hospital now and just starting to hold down liquids without an IV bag! So feeling much improved, you sound like it's going really well for you! So happy for you, I'm sure I'll be following in your footsteps soon ...

  7. It's Day 8 and still can't keep down liquids, surgeon thinks I maybe extremely constipated and that's why things aren't working like they should be. Been having lots of IV Fluids
  8. Anyone else vomiting after drinking small amounts of liquids, the pain in behind my sternum leaves me in agony and eventually I vomit, I haven't eaten anything apart from broth in a week!
  9. I'm still in ICU Had my op on Jan 12 th still can't keep fluids down, feel like hell, full of gas and every time I take a small sip the gas hurts like hell!! Feel so sad!

  12. Mine is a low Carb high calcium diet for 2 weeks pre op then 1 day of clear liquids only
  13. Yes I'm also 12 Jan! So excited! Starting my diet on 29th!! I wasn't told to do a liquid diet until 24 hours before , my diet is low carb and high in Calcium, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed coffee? Any idea?

  15. I am diabetic (Type 1) and use an Insulin Pump, I also had my heart set on the Sleeve but my surgeon highly recommended Gastric By Pass as I have Gerd, so I'm just going for it! Good Luck with your decision ????

  17. I'm not in the U.S, I live in Israel, I have been given a low carb, high protein diet that is high in Calcium avoiding any fruit juice, alcohol or drinks with gas
  18. Sounds like a good plan!! I was told to go on the pre op diet for 2-3 weeks before the op? So I haven't started yet ????
  19. My surgery date is 12 Jan!! im so excited to get started but worried about how I'm going to manage my Diabetes (insulin dependent) with the first couple of weeks of not eating much!

Hi, I have Type 1 Diabetes, I'm on an Insulin pump and have my op date 12 Jan, (Gastric Bypass) I'm really excited but worried about how I'm going to handle low blood sugar levels in the first couple of days when I probably won't be eating anything, any other Type 1's with any info or advice? I would love to hear from you
  21. Hi, I am Type 1 on a pump and have a date for Surgery in January 2015, I'm having the gastric by pass , any ideas on how to keep blood sugars normal after the op? Bit worried about having a lot of hypos as I won't be eating many Carbs
