Wow, my compliments to your husband. I'm impressed, send him to the guys room, you know that's all we talk about over there

@@Dub - It depends, I used a bipap, which is auto adjustable

@@FrankiesGirl - "I count vaping in there too since the early results on vaping are not looking good for long term health" Not looking to pick a fight, just curious what you've seen on this. I've been looking at this for a while and have not seen anything that has scared me off of vaping. But I'm always ready to change if there is a compelling reason.

@@parisshel - this is actually a very scientific point of how hot a woman is and how much crazy you can put up with:

@@CowgirlJane - "But this is why when I am ready to dive in again it will be eharmony or maybe just in real life or something different... this "numbers game" doesn't appeal to me too much." Yep, this is not for the faint of heart...well that's not entirely fair, it is work though. I have heard the complaint from women how many stupid emails they get. Don't understand why there are so many idiot males out there. Thankfully most women want to be pursued so they don't bug me much. But interestingly the women I have been most serious about reached out to me first. Hmmm, point to ponder

@@bellabloom - I had a simuler thing happen, a woman I met before surgery actually chastised me for being heavy, two years later she tried to chat me up on Match.com. I reminded her of our last meeting. She tried to say she admired the change, but I just remember her being a b*tch.

@@CowgirlJane - How many emails do you ignore before you find one that you want to respond to? That is the number for females to follow? Generally speaking, males pursue, females respond. That is your number. Realize that you have a bunch of crap coffee and first dates before you get to someone worth following up with. It took a while, but I finally found someone worthy of my time to seriously commit to really getting to know. And every time we go out, I find out something new, and it only makes her better and better. I am getting really excited.

Going back to work after surgery!
OKCPirate replied to haleymarie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with @@KindaFamiliar, the scientific answer is "it depends." How committed are you to doing the pre-surgery work, how committed are you to getting in the best shape you can be in? And then how bad of shape are you in right now? I was blessed. Yes I started out at 305, but I was a very healthy fat guy. No diabetes. No heart problems. Worked out. Ect. So I was ready to go back to work and did via email 14 hours after surgery. But I don't have to do heavy lifting. I work virtually. (And what's really cool, I can work naked from home, oh the joys of being a consultant). So we don't know where you are coming from, nor should you think that any one person's experience is normal. If you provide more details about yourself, ask very specific question about what you need, the better this website will work for you. For instance: if you ask "I operate heavy machinery. How long were you guys off work." You will get a great answer back. Hope that makes sense and give you some ideas of how to fully utilize this site to its maximum advantage. -
Got nekkid at work yesterday !
OKCPirate replied to Dub's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you. Sorry for goofing around on the original reply. I'm just feeling really, really good today. Ready. Eager. Looking forward to the new and improved version of my body that will be emerge after the surgery, through maintaining kitchen discipline and with some successful work in the gym. I'm hoping to return to my 30's when I'm living my 50's......or at least feel that good. Thank you ! Yup......Glocks, Colts and a recent Les Baer are the backbone of my handgun inventory. I'm a fan of Glock 9mm's and 1911 45's. The most recent Glock is the one that I swore I'd never buy......the diminutive G43. After a few range sessions with it I take back every disparaging remark I made in ignorance. These guns carry very, very well and handle wonderfully. Target below was on the first session with it. Lower group was first two magazines I ever shot through it. Head shots were the next few. All shots as 21' standing, two-handed grip: I'm certain that the gun is more accurate than this. I'll try it from the bench next time just for kicks. Good shot group, I knew I liked you for a reason...be dangerous not to -
@@CowgirlJane - hey, hey, wait a minute, this is the guys room. Always appreciate your perspective but we may want to talk about guy stuff in here

@@scubav85 - Not just feeling healthier, being healthier. Opens up all sorts of possibilities (and much easier to cut your toe nails). @@itstimealready - Yes you do get more attention. Fat people are often invisible to the world. Just a reality. There is a great thread on this site about women getting new attention following weight loss. Highly recommend it. I don't share how I lost the weight, but because there are a bunch of pictures of me on the web before I lost 90 pounds, I often mention that if you Google me realize the pictures on the web are often pre-weight loss.

No protein & no vitamins, is it a problem?

Nope, not good. 15g would be bad (that's a scientific/technical term) -

To chew gum, or not...post op?

@@wrights79 - I guess it depends if you can walk and chew gum at the same time you probably are OK . I didn't for the first two months just because I was really working on drinking Water and when I have gum in my mouth I don't feel thirsty. -

It depends. I'm sorry that's the best answer. Anyone who has taken these meds for a while knows it is an odd struggle to get the meds right. And even when you do, the body changes, or we get into another phase of life, and the meds we used to take just don't work anymore. Good article on this: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/545489_4
