  1. @NewJeffery thanks for the advise. I'm seriously considering those Fluid Protein Shots. It's around 10oz. And contains 40g of Protein Isolate. Until I start eating solid foods, that's the only way I see to get a full 60g of protein in.

@Dabliss that's exactly what I was thinking. The last thing I want is Constipation. I plan to pick up a bottle tomorrow. However I thought about the magnesium stuff that tastes like a sprite...but it seems like it has carbonation which is a no no.

  2. I'm 2 weeks post-op and have been eating soft foods for about a week. Mainly soups; Cream of blah and Chowders. I haven't been getting in all my Protein. I'm lucky to get 30g. Also I'm not getting enough Water, likely around 30-40oz. My main concern is the lack of a bowel movement. I haven't had one since the laxative I took 2 days before my surgery. Anyone else have B.M. issues? Should I take a laxative? How soon after your surgery did you have a B.M.?

  3. Im 9 days Post-Op. Just left my 1st doctor's appt. Had an interesting experience today while there. They removed the tube from my side...OMG! I really went in not knowing what to expect. There was a slight pinch to loosen it. Then the doctor starting pulling the tube from my stomach. It literally felt like he was pulling life from my body. It was a cringing and stinging type pain. Just a very weird feeling, very nauseating. Thought was was going to hurl what little Fluid I had in my pouch of a stomach lol.

  4. The Losers Bench is absolutely correct. I was talking with someone and actually starting questioning why I had this procedure lol. I know it will help me out in the long run but wow the pain right about now. My doc has me on Hydromorphone, but I think it's ran it's course as it no longer works. I had a few Percocett tabs left from a dental procedure, so I decided to take one today. Hopefully this pain will pass...soon!
