  1. Yes I was told by radiologist and the surgeon that did my lapband in the U.S. that my stomach was left too large and the reason for always hungry was too much of the fungus was left in place. I feel totally different this time. I am not hungry now and I can only take in 2-3 ounces at a time and feel full. I went to Mexico for the resleeve and not the same surgeon who did the sleeve. He offered a gastric bypass or a band around the stomach that was left. I feel great!

  2. I had a lap band 2004 lost only about 20 pounds. I decided 4 years later to follow-up with my surgeon. At that time found a leak in the port that was changed and I lost 85 pounds and kept the weight off until fall 2013, another problem with the band.. I decided to get a sleeve. I got the sleeve 1/2014 which was unsuccessful. I was always hungry, no restrictions. I gained a total of 40 pounds before I was resleeve May 19th and have lost 12 pounds so far. I feel great, not hungry. I know with the sleeve there wasn't enough stomach removed according to the upper GI series. I had no problems with removal of the band. I am glad the band is gone because of all the food restriction. I couldn't eat salads, chicken, etc without vomiting, feeling like food was stuck. I think the resleeve is working and so glad I had it done!

  3. I had the band around 2005 and had no weight loss. I decided in 2008 to go in for a adjustment and they found the problem with the port which was changed and I lost 85 lbs and kept off until November 2013. I had a slippage. I decided to go to Mexico for a sleeve since my insurance wouldn't pay anything for WLS. I had the sleeve in January 2014. I have gained 15 pounds since the sleeve now. I have never felt like others with the sleeve. I have always been hungry. I am now scheduled for a resleeve May 18th

  4. The surgeon in the US did the band. My insurance paid. I had problems and my insurance wouldn't pay. I went to Mexico for removal of the band and the sleeve. My doctor in the US cared for me after the sleeve. He is the one who did the upper GI, told me only about fifty percent cut away. He will resleeve but the cash price for the resleeve or sleeve is 17,000 in the US. The original surgeon for the sleeve is talking mini bypass. Sorry for the confusion.

  5. Is there anyone out there who was resleeved? How did you do with your weight loss? I just sent my upper GI series disc to my original surgeon who did my sleeve. I have been told only about fifty percent cut away by the surgeon who did my band. They are telling me I should have a mini bypass instead of a resleeve. I gained 22 pounds in 14 months. I have never felt the not hungry feeling from day one.

  6. I had a lap band, loss about 85 pounds, got a slippage and decided to have a gastric sleeve. I had the sleeve January 2013. I never had the no hunger situation. I loss a few pounds initially. Now I am ten pounds above the weight before the sleeve. I am thinking about a resleeve procedure. I would love to hear from you if you resleeve and if any success. I am having a issue with my parathyroid and now will be having surgery. I am a NP and can't find where that has anything to do with my weight loss. I also workout, have a personal trainer.
