-42lbs so far, I'm super proud of myself!!!
-
Hi. I'm in fort myers.! :-). I had the gastric sleeve done on 3/31/15.
-
I'm glad I found this thread. I went to my post op appointment and lost 12lbs in one month. I wasn't too excited, but any loss is good. The doctor says that it's great, too much too soon for my body type isn't good. I also have a large muscular build, also the reason I see more inches lost than pounds. The Doc also recommend that I do 40g carbs, 15g sugar or less and keep calories to 1000 per day so that has helped me lose an additional 4lbs this past week. I still want like 30lbs off per month! Lol. Which for my body isn't realistic.

I live in Boca Raton. My date will be on may 11th. I'm 5'4 and 215. I'm not getting any support from friends or family.South Florida in Wellington, Lake Worth, Boynton Beach area? I'm 5 days post op! Would love to find someone who knows my struggles. These normal stomach people don't get it!!!!
Well congratulations to you! You'll do fine. Do you have any support of friends that can help you out after surgery? just hang in there, because I was in the same position recently. my parents live almost 3 hours away from me, and my mom is bedridden sick, making it impossible for either my mom or my dad to make it down to help me. But with God and supportive friends I'm doing well. The first few days after surgery were the worst, but now I feel better. I was sleeved on March 30th 2015. Good luck to you.

Hey! I was sleeved by dr bass 12/22/14. I'm down 54lbs as of this morning. It was honestly the best decision I could've made it's nice to see a group of other dr bass' success stories!
Yes. Dr. Bass is awesome. I'm only 3 days out and still feel sick. I hope it passes soon so I can see the reward.

On my way to the hospital for my sleeve surgery... Kind of nervous now that it's here!!!
GOOD luck. Just had mine on Monday.

Just was sleeved on 3/30/15. Feeling sick right now. God please help. ????

I was sleeved 2 days ago and I feel like crap! I feel nauseous and the medicine the doctor gave me does not help nausea . I'm watching TV and all these commercials of food make me sick to my stomach. and I'm so sensitive to any smell in My Home makes me want to throw up. I wonder if this is normal? I wonder if I did the right thing.# feeling scared right now

Kathy
Is not going to be on till March 30th. it had to be put off because I struggled so much with following the pre op diet in the whole preparatory program. however the good news is that I stuck to a two week pre op diet or liquid diet on my own and lost 14 pounds so I should be good to go on March 30th to have surgery, and I'll be doing another liquid 7 day liquid diet starting March 23rd
-
I'm so happy. I did a complete liquid diet for 14 days and lost 13lbs. So I should be good to for surgery on 3/30/15! OMG. I can't believe I did it all by myself!

Thanks! :-)Doesn't it feel great to be so good?! I found that being able to finally take control over my food choices and the ability to develop new habits was very empowering. Every little battle won just made it easier to conquer the next challenge....
Congrats on your progress!

Got through day..5 I stayed super busy! I think the first 3 days were the most challenging like most people said. I'm back gonna master this!
-
Day 4 has been much easier than any other day thus far! :-)
-
End of day#3 all liquids! Did it again... trying to go 14 days
-
just as an FYI, i had nothing to do with exploding this post..it was not my fault... this time.
Lol.
My Dr said that I only have to do 2 days soft diet and 2 days liquid diet. By no means should you go by this but it is my instructions.. Going from being a compulsive eater to such a harsh diet is hard. If it was easy none of us would need weight loss surgery. Don't be hard on yourself, you got this!
Amen to that!
-
I will be on liquids soon. You and I are about the same height and weight. although if your name is any indication of your age, you are my son's age. I'm pulling for you!!
Thanks I appreciate that! :-)
-
YOU an DO it!! (sleep alot) take naps, go to bed early...get through day 3 and you'll be golden!
That's the plan!! So i don't eat. Lol I have to be at work by 5:45 am ever day so going to bed early is a must.
-
Day 2 and I stuck to it! Hard, but I did it!
-
Well it's the end of day #1 for me and I successfully stuck to it. I'm just taking one day at time. Goodnight everyone! #FAITH

Thanks! :-)Good for you. It's great that you are owning this and taking steps to do it right. The psychological part is often overlooked and easy to underestimate. My comments were not made maliciously, it's just my "directness" is often misinterpreted. I wish you all the best.

@@BeautifullyCreated1982 good for you! As you can see from the variety of responses, you have to find the motivation that works for you. None of us are the same. This process is a journey, not a destination so if you head down the wrong road, turn around and try a different one. Progress, not perfection.
Happy and healthy thoughts to you!
Thanks! :-)
