  1. Don't punish yourself for eat a slice of pizza. I have been banded for a year and a half and I still eat pizza ocassionally. Just remember not to force yourself to eat and exercise, whether it's a walk around the block or a jog. You will be alright and take your time that good restriction will come. Happy Easter!

  2. Just a little pissed off, my doctor's office called me today and told me that the doctor is canceling all his appointments on Wednesday, because he has an emergency surgery, so I have to suffer until Friday. It's hard for me to make appointments, because of my job as a police officer and going to school. I feel like, I can't properly function. I will be glad when, I can get some of this Fluid out of my band.

  3. In Dec of 2008 I had .5cc removed from my band, because it was so thight, that I had problems sleeping at night, due to acid reflux and could barely eat. After I had the .5cc removed the acid reflux went away, but it's hard for me to eat, so therefore I'm not getting my hard protien. Fluids stay down and sometimes food, but for the most part, what I eat usually comes back up and it's nowhere near an ounce of food. I currently have 5.5cc in my 12cc band, when I see my doctor on Feb. 18,2009, I'm going to have 1.5cc removed and go from there, because in April of 2008, I was hospitalized for a day, because my was so thight that I could not eat or drink and that caused me to get dehydrated. My band was completely unfilled for 4 weeks, but I did not gain any weight. And again this happen when I decided to go to 6cc. I'm starting to realize that 6cc is not for me at this present time. Since I haven't been able to really eat, I haven't lost any weight, because my body is feeding off of stored fat. Being able to eat the right food is the success of the band. I can say that since I had my band, I have lost 75lbs. I run anywhere from 2 to 4 miles a day, but I still need to able to eat.

  4. Kayleighsmommy, I really pray that I never experience this again. It truly scared me and now I have enough puncture wounds on my stomach to last a life time. I think that your OB was inconsiderate to your health problems. You and giddyupgrandma has been a great source of information to me, it great to chat with someone who have been through, what you are going through. I will keep the both of you in my prays. I hope others who have experience pulmonary embolism will join this post.
