Thanks for your encouragement I'm definitely more up and about today even if it's just around my home...I'm getting my Protein in today and maybe tonight I will try to sleep on my side again...I found that if I put a pillow under my side it doesn't hurt as much...my biggest fear at this point is failing to lose weight even without eating...I don't want to disappoint everyone supporting me and myself....oh well I will just continue to do the best I can...best of luck to you also.Hi Jorrin,
Please be patient with yourself and make absolutely sure you force down as much liquid Protein as you can. It is the key to healing. I am 17 post op and doing pretty good. I only take Tylenol at night as it makes me sleepy, weird huh. I am slowly being able to lie on my sides, right is easier than left and OMG I actually ended up on my stomach last night. Not for long but it wasn't too bad.
Move as much as you can too. That helps. Best wishes!

As of now I'm 10days post op and absolutely miserable...can't eat much still, drink..even sleep..It hurts terribly when I try to sleep on my side...now that I'm losing weight the lower abdomen weight feels heavier and almost like it's sitting on my upper legs making it hard to walk around...I still have my stitches and have my follow up on the 17 which is still in about 9 days...thanks for your comments, advice, and/or opinions in advance....

Jonathan I can't see your links

Thanks Jonathan I'm going to do my best and walk more and stop weighing in so frequently ...as long as I eat right and not over eat it HAS TO come off!
-
Yes me too but it depends on what I'm eating and if I'm in pain I can't keep much down...The biggest I have ate is 5.3oz of yogurt and that's the whole container of the non fat geek yogurt but even if I'm not full I'm not going back for more or snacking...I just wish I would feel that FULL feeling but I don't...

Hello everyone

Before I started the pre op liquid diet , I weighed 444 pounds. 14 days later on the 27th of October before surgery I weighed 414 pounds, so I had lost 30 pounds! On the day I left the hospital on the 30th of October I weighed 424 pounds!! I regained 10 pounds back while I was there! Now I just weighed myself and I'm STILL at 424... :'( ...?? I'm doing and eating exactly as my Doctor and his team told me...any suggestions my friends?....I'm a mix of emotions right now...

I was told to have 2 ounces (4tablespoons ) and that's it...per meal no snacking. But is this only for the first 4weeks? They gave me these little cups like the size of cough medicine measuring cups and that's what I get per meal...weather It's Jello, broth, chopped deli meat so it will fit in the cup etc..

My surgery is tomorrow...I'm so very anxious and all of a sudden I'm STARVED...I have been on the liquid diet for two weeks...I feel like stuffing my face...but I know I CAN'T!...Is this normal behavior and feelings before surgery?

I heard bariatric patients turn into alcoholics....is this true? How do you feel about drinking booze?
