  3. My surgeon uses a larger bougie (not sure what size, he just said he uses larger than most) I have not felt hungry since surgery. I'm 5 weeks out.
  4. Oh don't talk constipation. Lol that's the only problem I have. If it weren't for laxitives I wouldn't go at all.
  5. Mick small world. Dr. Naik seemed surprised I could drink and get my protein. I also had no pain or nausea. No pain meds. I had my surgery right after he started his new practice.

  8. I was able to get all my fluids and protein in on the first day. I was able to drink regularly. I haven't had problems eating either. I'm on regular diet now and you can definitely feel the restrictions.
  9. I stalled after 1 week and it lasted 3 weeks. I lost 11 lbs in the first 4 weeks. I was soon upset, but then in the middle of week 4 I lost 3lbs in one day and roughly a lb a say since. By my doctors appointment at close to the week 5 mark I was down 21 lbs. You just have to wait it out. Everyone told me to through the scales out. I tell you what everyone told me. Your body is still healing and you will lose weight.
  10. I did not have to fast. But every doctor is different. Depends on the tests to. You could call the lab.
  11. I could eat egg at 3 weeks.
  12. I had no pain at the hospital or home and i had a hernia repair too. I was back to my normal stuff immediately. No tiredness or weakness. Got all my fluids and protein in on day one. Oh an no gas. I'm 5 weeks out.
  13. I had hiatal hernia repaired at same time as surgery. I honestly didn't have pain post op. I didn't use pain meds at the hospital or home. I did feel a slight tightness in my chest which I think was from the hernia repair, but it went away in a few days.

  15. My all time heaviest was 408, I started the weight loss journey at 385. At surgery I weighted 340 and at 5 weeks out I'm 321. I too find it irksome to see people who need to lose just a little having surgery.
  16. I'm bipolar, had my surgery 5 weeks ago. I've had no problems with my meds or any relapses from surgery. I've had no problem losing weight either. I lost a bunch pre surgery and losing post op.
