  11. I am 4 days post op and on the full liquid stage. I am hearing all of these people talking about how they can barely drink their fluids and I am over here drinking all the required protien and then some. I was also able to have 2 ounces of tomato soup, a popcicle, and 2 ounces of greek yogurt. I feel super guily like I shouldn't be able to consume that much. I am not going over my calories or anything but it scares me that I am doing a little too well. Anyone else experience this?
  12. Hi there, I was also sleeved on the 20th and had the same issue with gas and still do a little bit, it does pass. Also I have been having rolling pain from my stomach that feels like hunger pains and kinda burns and radiates to my back. I found out this is very common and can last up to two weeks. It is because your stomach is angry. It's inflamed, swollen, like you said closed with staples, and on top of it all it is brand new. Your nerve endings are reforming and that is what causes the most pain. Things will get a little better daily.
  13. It was determined by my doc that I should have my gallbladder removed before my sleeve surgery so it was done 3 days ago. I am scheduled for my sleeve surgery October 20th. I am on day three and things are slowley getting better but my mid back and ribs are soooo sore. I believe they are strained from having to lay on my back (i still can't lay on my side) Has anyone else who has their gallbladder removed experienced the back strain? Thanks!
  14. I thought it was too. I don't understand why he won't just do them together if it is common. The thought of a second surgery gives me anxiety
  15. So I only have a couple more weeks before my surgery and I have Gall stones large ones. I haven't had a flare up for 3 years, however I am told that the chance of GB problems after surgery is high. My doctor said he will not perform a gall bladder removal during the weight loss surgery because of the chance of bile getting onto the stomach, and stated that I might get lucky and not have a problem. Anyone here have gallstones prior to surgery? and how were they after? Thank you in advance!

  17. Well it is official, I am having my surgery at the end of this month and one thing I am concerned with is the Anti-nausea meds they give you after surgery. I had a very bad experience after oral surgery that I am attributing to anti-nausea meds seeing as most of them have racing heart as a side effect. I had tachycardia that lasted for a few days. I don't want to experience this again and I am scared. Anyone else have this happen to them?

  22. That really sucks I am so sorry to hear that and I will definitely talk to my surgeon. Thank you for the warning!
  23. Thank you everyone. I feel so much better now and congrats on all of your weight loss!
  24. Uhoh I am scheduled for the sleeve and I have Gerd and take Omeprizole.
  25. Hi everyone. I an getting super close to my surgery and I have been experiencing a lot of Naysayers regarding the sleeve saying you don't lose as much and the weight loss is slow. I would really appreciate some feedback. Maybe tell me what the weight loss for you in the first 4 months was and then monthly there after? Thank you so much in advance. BTW I am currently 364 and 5'5 I know weight and height also makes a difference.
