  4. In 9 more hours I'll be on the table for Round 2. Let's hope this one's the charm!

  6. My husband bought an apple pie last Sunday. It's still around 1 week later & I haven't touched it. < my mantra> I can and will co-exist with treats others enjoy without touching them myself.

  7. Not sure if yesterday was a win or a fail. I made it through my first big event at work since surgery and didn't eat a donut (we get them for the staff/volunteers), and I didn't treat myself to a huge dinner of nachos or mac and cheese afterwards... BUT, I got to the end of the day, and even after having my protein yogurt snack in the evening, I was still hungry, so I ended up having a serving of roasted chickpeas and went over my allotted calories by more than 100. I did run around a lot throughout the day, but I don't know that it justified the extra calories. :/

  8. Ninety days ago yesterday was my surgery date and I feel as though I was just released from the hospital due to all the drama I have suffered (my story below). Things are somewhat better because I had to remove myself from the main person who continues to disturb my peace, my only daughter. Oh yes it bothers me very much but I can no longer internalize and worry about her dysfunctional, emotional rages that she places on me. My main priority is to be healed and move on with my life. No matter who and what has to go my answer is ...bye, bye, bye!!! Can anybody relate to the need to adjust some people in your life to focus on yourself?

  9. Sunday! Football! TWD! Yay!

  10. Almost home, been in a plane for 22 of 80 hours, so much better than 90 pounds ago,

  11. Just realized I am no longer Morbidly Obese and not even Severely Obese - just plain ol' obese now (based on BMI anyway). Hmmm..... strange that actually sounds good?

  12. I got my A1C results at my 12 month post op check in. 4.8!!! Wahoo!

  13. Pre op appointments all finished. Moving quickly.

  14. Surgery over, glad to be home. Very glad to be home.

  15. Meant to write "my daughter's wedding". I am thrilled. I bought some jeans, shirts, and leggings as well. Almost can't grasp that I can wear a size 12.

  16. Pounds lost has slowed but inches still falling off. Haven't lost a pound in 2 weeks but down another size.

  17. Surgery was exactly 100 days ago and I've lost exactly 50 pounds!

  18. From squeezing into an ill-fitted size 28 jeans to buying a pair of size 18 jeggings at a mainstream store. Feels AMAZING.

  19. After almost 7 weeks of losing very slowly, I lost 2 pounds overnight.

  20. 11 Days until Surgery!

  21. So quick update I just left my final NUT visit and my starting weight at the beginning of my program in May was 258. I gained 6 pounds by my August visit and they warned me that I needed to be under 258 by today's appt, because I have Aetna insurance and they wont approve me if I have a net gain. I followed through with my portion control and forced my way to the gym. Today's weigh in I am 254.5 pounds. WOOOHHH HOOO Next Stop Pre Surgery Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.

  22. 10 days until I have my baby!

  23. Cottage Cheese never tasted so good!

  24. This Liquid diet is something serious! I feel famished.

  25. I love my decision and loving the journey even more.
