  1. Woo Ho! I got my box full of Protein products from Bariatric Pal store today! I used my 50.00 gift card and even spent a little more. They sent me some free items to try too! I will be having one of those items for a snack today and I can hardly wait to try their hot chocolate! I haven't had anything to drink besides water in over a year! Yeah me!

  2. GOAL WEIGHT DAY!!! I finally made it! My original goal was 175, then 150 (normal BMI), then 140 (some wiggle room in normal bmi), and finally 135 (so I don't have to see 140 again, lol). Surgery was December 11 last year. I can't believe it happened in less than a year. This has experience and surgery has exceeded every expectation I've had. Thanks to my Bariatric Pals for everything- the support here has helped me immensely. Now on to maintaining! I think that's the part I'm most nervous about actually.

  3. I just can't seem to get into Onderland and stay there. I keep hovering at 199 then back to 201 then back to 199 then to 201. WTF?!! It's been like a month of doing this. Will I ever get over that hump?

  4. "Get up offa that thing.."

  5. With this last pound lost, I moved from obese to overweight on the BMI chart! Hooray!

  6. Donated platelets/plasma over the weekend, and the hubby donated whole blood - totally badass!

  7. All of these holiday losses and I gained 2 lbs. So discouraging, but I know where I failed (many "little" bites of desserts), so I know how to fix it.

  8. Working the preop diet to prepare for surgery 12/17/15!

  9. Grateful to be in One-derland!

  10. Threw up for the first time post-op on Thanksgiving. Guess I overdid it?

  11. I am alive. I know I've neglected my Bariatric Pal family but I am 3 weeks post op and down 34 pounds. How is everyone doing? I miss you all.

  12. I'm feeling hopeful. I attended a information session which is required before meeting with a surgeon for a consultation. I was surprised at the number of people who were in attendance just a day before Thanksgiving but it let me know just how much we are all seeking out much needed help. I am now waiting on a phone call upon verification of my insurance to meet with the surgeon. I wishing you all much success in your journey. Happy Holidays!

  15. I must have done something right on thanksgiving, I jumped on the scale expecting a slight gain and I lost a half pound. Go figure!

  16. What are you thankful for? Me, I am thankful for this new lease on life

  17. Apparently, when I eat a meal with more carbs and fat than usual, my stomach now responds by imitating whale mating calls. I felt fine, but in a quiet room, it was really noticeable. Glad it was just family.

  18. Freezing cold weather helped me run an 8 minuet mile on the turkey day 5K.

  20. 1st post op thanksgiving taught me that I can't tolerate my own sweet potato pie. It feels as though I swalloowed a lump of butter that rolls forcefully through my defensive system.

  21. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  22. If this stops hubby from being critical on my eating and it boosts my self esteem then worth it. Think initially will save my marriage as I was at my wits end with his constant Nasty comments. And if our marriage is still not good then at least I will b slim and confidant t date again. Realistic and open minded

  23. Yeah! Feeling better today. As many of you know I had more back surgery on Monday. It was a terribly rough couple of days but I think I am out on the other side now. Let's hope anyway! Going to get to shower today!

  24. Wore black leggings and boots with 2 inch heels for the first time EVER! Who knew I had a bit of a vixen side....

  25. I purchased another pair of new jeans today! I have lost 30lbs in the past 6 weeks and the last pair are all baggy in the legs, gaped at the waist and baggy in the butt.
