  4. Feeling relieved! My 3 level cervical spinal fusion went very well yesterday. Of course I have a lot of pai and a very sore throat but already I have relief of tingling and nerve pain down my arms! One more night in the hospital and I go home. Thanks for all of your prayers and well wishes. I swear I felt my family and friends including my bariatric pal family surrounding me.

  6. What an exciting milestone for me! I am no longer obese on the BMI chart. As of this morning, I have hit the overweight section of the chart. I cannot wait until I get into the healthy portion. The last time I was not considered obese or morbidly obese was when I was 24 years old. That is over half my life! Woot woot!

  7. It's almost summer! WOOOOHOOOOO!!

  8. Fell on my treadmill last night...OH EM GEE!!!

  9. I just Made One-derland!!! WOOT WOOT!!

  10. Just got home from the hospital. Oh my goodness the nausea was horrific. I vomited blood. I have never had a surgery where I was miserable and could not even sleep. I had ice chips last night then on to a liquid tray at lunch today. I ate the jello but didn't want to push things. Home now and trying to drink crystal light. As far as pain goes I am just sore. Feels like I have been doing too many crunches. So now on to sip sip sip. I hope and pray I do well.

  11. Spent two nights in the hospital following sleeve and at home now. Mostly discomfort, not pain, but extremely difficult to get any water, broth or jello down. Had to mix crushed pills with jello to take them. Not taking pain meds right now due to not having that kind of pain and I am vomiting periodically. I ate part of a sugar free popsicle which is not on my list until next week, but needed to try something else to add fluids. Crystal light is not on my list till next week either, but that may be something else I need to try to increase the fluid intake. Water alone just seems to make the urge to vomit worse. I am taking zofran melts for nausea but doesn't seem to help much.

  12. 2 weeks out from surgery. Just had my first low cal day. It was difficult.

  13. Day 5 of shakes and veggies....down 5 pounds! Yippee!

  14. And I have hit the dreaded weight stall...ugh. Just have to wait it out!

  15. Out of my stall and dropping a pound a day! I'll take it!!!

  16. A delicious caprese sale for lunch! Outstanding!

  17. I'm watching "600 Pound Mom" on TLC and unsure of how to feel. The surgeon refused to do bypass surgery on the subject after she had gained 100+ during her pre-op. Then she gained an additional 16 lbs after she was approved for surgery. I want her to live but clearly there is much going on with this woman. I don't know.

  18. 1 lb. from Onederland!!!

  19. I got my surgery date today!!! I'm SO excited, it felt like a very long road to this point! June 15th, 2015!!!

  20. Feeling good. Lost 20+ lbs, getting in more exercise day by day, fluids are great, protein was easy to get in today. I'm feeling good.

  21. “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. By paying closer attention to who and what really matters, you’ll start appreciating the miracle of the mundane. Focusing on what’s right will help you see your life in a new light.

  22. Sleeve surgery is one week from tomorrow. I have been on liquid diet for a week and lost about 10#. Having all kinds of doubts and worries at this point.

  23. Today is the day! I'm so proud of getting to this point! I worked hard. I'm excited for my future. I feel like I"m getting a second chance at life. <3 Good luck to all the people having their surgeries today!

  24. I made it to my first big goal! I am down 100lbs as of this morning. Just 10 more to go to get to onederland. And 45 more to get to my ultimate weight goal. Woot. Woot
