  1. I Would Love To Pics Of People That Were Band The Same Time...(before And After). Is Anyone Up For That? I Am Not Down To My Goal Yet But I Think We Are All Doing So Well That We Need To Show It Off. And When It Is With People That Have Been In It For The Same Amount Of Time We Understand Each Other!!
  2. I Went To The Support Group Last Night And I Think It Is Really Going To Make All The Differnce In The World. Everyone Was Really Nice. We Were All Reallly Looking For Something To Dig Our Teach Into. Even The People That Are 10 Months Post Op Were Just Like Me. They Were Doing It But Blindly. Things Seem To Work Out When They Are Really Needed. And In My Case It Was Really Needed. I Didn't Think It Would Make A Lot Of Difference. But Boy Was I Wrong. I Went In With Bad Attitude And Came Out Refreshed And So Excited.

  4. WOW!!! I am so excited. I had the band done in May 07 and we had our first support group meeting last night. We live in a small area so it took a while. But it was so refreshing. If you have not joined a group I would really recommend it. Everyone was really open and entertaining. I really wish I would have had this sooner. But I am extremely thankful for LBT. I don't think I would have done half as well as I have done without lbt. SO, if you are not going and are struggling try it!!!:blushing:
  5. I am just having a bad day but it has flooded in to the last month. I have been eating wrong not working out. I am going to start the support group tonight. I really hope that gets me going agian. I love the lap band. I don't like the way I am dealing with issues that I can't eat my way out of. I sure try to. It is like my mind won't flip over to the 'right way" I know what it is and I can do it. I just am struggling. If I stay aware of it I will over come it. I want.. mememe. I guess I need to get out of my own head. I really hope tonight starts me back on the right track.

  7. thanks! I think I have been dancing around the situation. I don't want to upset the applecart. But it has already tipped over. I just need to get some balls and talk to them!!
  8. I am 9 months post op. I have lost enough weight look like a different person. Looks are not a real big deal to me. (or so I thought) I have (had) a lot of friends before I have the lapband done. As time as gone on I have see less and less of my friends. I am 30 and live in a small town. So we are all kind in the same boat... married, kids, and working. So we are all busy. But not any different then 9 months ago. My friends have not been rude, just distant. I am unsure of how to deal with it. Most of my friends are heavier so it is a touchy subject. I try not to bring it up at all. But it seems like the big white elephant in the room all the time. What do you do? how has life changed with your friends.... do you make new ones? We talking about life long friends here, not fairweather friends.

  10. FYI if there is anyone in southern minnesota. We are having our first support group meeting on Wensday Feb. 27 at 7pm. It is at the Blue Earth hospital. If anyone wants more info let me know. huntingtons@bevcomm.net
  11. Do you feel the push within yourself to finish what you have started. I have drive to get these next 27 lbs off. I want to be that person everyone already thinks I am. I know you do also!!!! Keep working. Life is so worth it, now that we have one to look fwd to.
  12. Hi, I have shown horses/mules for over 20 years. I had the band done in May of 07. I was ridding in shows by July. Really be careful of getting dizzy. I seem to get light headed dismounting sometimes. I never had that problem before. Start out slow after 6 weeks. Remember your balance may be off when you start loosing big amounts of weight. If you ride western, just remember to keep your heals down.
  13. I keep telling myself that the last 28lb doesn't have to come off as fast as the rest of it did. I can take my time. WHY... so I don't have to work so hard. WRONG it has to come off or I will never take it off.
  14. My Question To You Is.. Does She Have A Weight Problem? If She Does, It Will Be A Problem Because Of The Envy Issues. If She Is Not, Just Tell Her To Mind Her Own Health.
  15. IS THERE ANYONE WHO HAS DONE A MAKEOVER ON THEMSEVES? HAIR, MAKE-UP, AND CLOTHES STYLE? THE HAIR IS THE BIGGEST ONE FOR ME. IF YOU HAVE ANY PICS PLEASE POST THEM AND SHOW OFF HOW HOT YOU ARE... IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE A B/A SHOT. ALSO IF YOU HAVE ANY TIPS OR IDEAS LET ME KNOW ALSO. THANKS:wink2:
  16. If you go on I 90 or parts of 35w are really bumpy. When I can home from Souix Falls after the lap band, it hurt to go over the really bumpy road.
  17. I am closing in on my "goal". I am uncertian of the number. 150 sounded good. I am doing alright with the band, yet I don't "live the band" they way I should. I waver from atkins for a month then to normal eating(well rounded with carbs). My questions is, do you continue with the same new habbits you have created? Are you over critical of what you eat now because you don't want to go back up? What is your story? Does it comsume your everyday life?
  18. I can't wait to be apart of the 100club!!!! I have a few months and I should be there. How long did it take you to take off the last 20+ lbs
  19. I think every woman that looses weight should have a great haircut!!!!
