  1. Jen,

I am in the same situation as you, I have had medical set backs also. I know I am not drinking enough Water. I do drink a lot of coffee, which I know I should cut back on. I am really going to watch the replies to this so it can help me also, I am hoping that with the better weather coming that I can get out on my new bicycle and do some walking......Good luck.

  2. Thank you all for your help I will get some gold bond powder. My insurance says it will cover it if it is a medical necessity so I am taking pictures (yuk) and documenting. They won't do anything until at least 12 months out. I think the main problem I have is it is getting moist from the skin hanging down on it. If i wear something that will hold it up a little it isn't as bad.

  3. Well I am almost 7 months out and I have been in a stall for the last month but my biggest concern is that I had high sugar (170-200) before my surgery. I was on Metformin 800 mg 2 times a day and after my surgery I was dropped to 500 mg 2 times a day til I was at 3 months. Then they put me to 500 mg 1 time a day. My sugar has been hovering around 100 and I have been getting light headed, really whoozy and feeling weird. At my 6 months check up I told my GP (He is handling my sugar), about my sugar. He took me off my diabetic meds completely. I sugar has been between 80-100 for the past 2 weeks. I haven't changed the way I eat except instead of Glucerna shakes I am doing Premier Protein shakes (maybe 2-3 times a week). Any one else having this problem? Oh and I am still loosing my hair and I have been on Biotin for 3 weeks. Any suggestions would help.

  4. I have a Fashion Bug Credit card but they went out of business but 3 stores are accepting it. I ended up buying at a store called Dress Barn in my area and all the clothes I got (2 pants, 3 shirts and a cardigan) all for under $100, they were on the clearance rack for 50% off. I got really lucky. The girls at the 3 stores where wonderful. One even said that there should be a consignment shop where you bring clothes in and exchange them for people who have had this surgery, I agree.

  5. I went shopping over the weekend and could not believe the size I am wearing now. Before surgery 24 pants and 3x shirts. Now 16 pants and XL shirts. I no longer have to shop in the plus sizes. I never thought that would ever happen. 66 pounds down. Sorry just had to post this I am so excited. I also went out to eat at a restaurant for the first time since my surgery on Saturday for my 30th anniversary, (I was so nervous) but everything was fine. I ordered off the kids menu and I still took some home for dinner the next night.

  6. I am 4 1/2 months out and I am losing my hair badly. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do? I am getting between 80-100 grams of Protein and around 50-60 oz of fluids a day. I don't see my Doctor for another month. I am getting concerned. I am also in a stall. In the last 1-2 months I have only lost 5-10 pounds. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My total weight loss is 59 pounds.

  7. I am 16 weeks out and for the last 4 weeks I am going between gaining 2-3 and losing 3-4 and I am getting very discouraged. I am eating my Protein 60-80 a day. Trying to get my fluids (40-60). I am eating 1 egg scrambled every morning. Eating Protein first always and most of the time only. I get between 800-900 calories a day. I have gone from a size 24 to 18 and lost a total of 54 pounds since surgery, Sept. 25, 2014. Any one have any ideas to get my weight loss restarted? I don't go back to my Doctor til March.
