    Full Liquids

@@Susan909 Hi, I'm on that now. That's a hard one because the only thing I am allowed are all the clears and cream soup pudding and cream of wheat. Do you like cream of wheat? There are soooooo many cream soups out there are you sure you Don't like any of them? I didn't even realize how many until I had to buy some. We got cheddar cheese, cream chicken and herb (which to me taste like thanksgiving, my daughter says chicken dumplings) Cream of shrimp ect....do you not like them or is it the texture?

Truly don't know what to do

(*refried,)if you don't feel ready or can't move up maybe you should just stay on the full liquid a little longer and add your new protein to some of that if you could tolerate the it?

Truly don't know what to do

@@Jennifer Rogers Yuck! Well do you like Popsicles? Can you used your protein mixes to make some of them To eat? Have you tried some thing basic like retried beans with some cheese and maybe some avocado ect..or some ricotta cheese with some marinara sauce? Can you stand the cream soups? I'm still early out but I like the cream of chicken with herb soup and I add some unflavored protein to it. It kinda taste like chicken dumplings.
  4. If you could go back in time before surgery Knowing what you know now about WLS and your results what would you say to the scared over-weight you?
  5. @@klmc10 I can't say I would be to polite either. Are you doing ok with the isopure? I don't care for the taste of them but they serve the purpose.
  6. @@klmc10 That sounds awful! So sorry you have to go through all that. I hope you found a different Dr to take care of you. That one sounds horrible! I don't have any good advice If everything makes you so sick. I'm surprised you haven't been given a feeding tube to let your tummy rest after all that trauma. Have you tried any of the clear protein drinks like isopure ready made drinks?
  7. @@hlnwls Hi! How did your surgery go?

    Surgery and having a cold

@@Quest4TheNewMe Sorry your sick! I don't really know the answers to that I do know they would operate on you if you have a temp. Trust me this is not the kind of surgery you would want to have if you have a cough ect....you would be in pain for sure! Maybe this will pass before Thursday, hopefully. You really do want to be "healthy" before surgery it will make the process a lot smoother for you. Good luck!! I hope this clears up for you!
  12. @@pheonix Yes on binder! Lovely! And if you don't like it you can just take it off
  13. @@NewKaren Hi can you tell me when that started happening? Have you been experiencing it since surgery or since you began eating "real" food? I'm just curious to when that may start. I just got out of surgery on Monday so I'm still on full liquids. I haven't experienced any of it so maybe I haven't reached That point yet?
  14. @@YellowWallpaper I'm sorry you have to go through this right now while faced with all the other fears ect about surgery. I quit smoking 5 months ago before I even thought about this surgery. It's not easy as you know. I don't have any super advice since I quit cold turkey after 14 years with a pack a day habit. I still don't know exactly how I did it, it takes a lot of willpower and a complete mind change. I know one of the things I did which may sound silly is I found every horrible lung cancer case, picture, documentary I could find on YouTube and I watched every detail. Some of the dying people talking made my heart hurt and it's really sad to see the suffering and devastation the family left behind goes through. So I basically freaked myself out so bad when I thought about smoking those images came to mind and I flat out refused to light one. I know that may sound weird but every bit of it can and does happen daily. Now that it's over I am so proud of myself and I still remind my family all the time how long it's been since I quit! (Oh they just never get tired of hearing that lol) You will be amazed how much better you will feel once it's over! Good luck to you!
  15. @@Frecklie You can make them into Popsicles.

    Pre-op Questions

@@Big_Mama Hello! I had to do the 2 weeks. Every surgeon is different. Luckily I didn't find it to be very hard at all and I Feel like it helped to prepare me for the small amounts of foods and liquids after my surgery( which was Monday) psych evals vary also. Mine was just a few questions asked and a 150-ish question test that they graded and went over with me in the office. No big deal! good luck!
  17. @@natedinsmoor2 Oh I also bought some unflavored protein powder to mix in everything for added protein. I just bought the GNC brand.
  18. @@natedinsmoor2 Did they give you a list for the full liquid diet? I added thinned cream of wheat to mine because it was in my menu. Everything else is the same as what you already have. Good luck with your surgery!
