    Considering the gastric sleeve!

If you suffer with GERD be advised that the sleeve may worsen it. Make sure to do your research. A lot of people with complications post sleeve are related to pre sleeve reflux.

How You Can Improve Your Outcome From Weight Loss Surgery

Of course there are lots of people that don't weigh or measure anything with great success. It's the ones that are forced to weigh and measure everything to get through a stall that I'm speaking in reference to.

How You Can Improve Your Outcome From Weight Loss Surgery

1b. Be HONEST about what you're documenting. Lying to yourself about those little nibbles here and there will only be disastrous to the bottom line. Also, if you aren't weighing and measuring CORRECTLY, you could be grossly underestimating your totals.

    Hiccups pre and post op

I'm hoping to hear from people that have been post op for a while now and had lots of hiccups prior to surgery. I'm aware of the gas post op, I'm more asking about regular hiccups and gas not related to surgery.

    Please help

Let me clarify this by saying that I know that this site is for support and information, it just concerns me that so many people leave surgery empty handed.

    Please help

What @@Elode said... I'm utterly shocked at how many people have no idea what they're supposed to be doing. Maybe I'm just obsessive compulsive, but there's no way on earth I could do this without educating myself on every single morsel of information I can get my hands on. Is this a lack of research or is this an inept surgical team? I sincerely interested. I'm not trying to be a b!tch, I'm just seriously concerned at how many people do not know. This is a major weak link in our bariatric system as a whole.

    Dec 6 surgery date

The purpose of your pre-op diet is not so much weight loss as it is prepping your liver to be lifted and moved out of the way in order to get to your stomach. When is your surgery? I would stick to it 100% from now on. Don't create unnecessary problems for yourself

    Your period. Help please!

    Resisting Food Temptations!

30 lbs is amazing! Stay the course! The payoff is sooooo much better than the quick fix. It's the difference between winning $5 on a scratch off and 100 million in the lottery.
  23. Funny story. Someone I know had the sleeve, he's lost over 200 lbs in the last 18 months. Anyway, he loved the fizzies pre op too. One day, a few weeks after he was sleeved, he wanted "just a sip" of diet coke. To hear him telling the story it's hilarious. He said he thought he was literally going to DIE. He called his Dr. and told him what he did and the Dr. said, "Well, you're not going to die, but you're going to feel like you are". He learned his lesson the hard way lol
  24. Go through the success stories forum and go to the first post that has all the before and after pictures. That always helps me!
