  1. My Dr said to take 2 fiber tabs twice a day for the rest of my life. That's what I've done and have never had an issue. I am 3 months out.

    I think you did!
  3. I went to Dr Verboonen, I was very aware of his issues in the past. Everyone has done something they regret. I think Dr Verboonen is a wonderful Dr and am so thankful I found him.
  4. Sf jelly is great mixed in with plain yogurt. Not sure if its OK for preop.
  5. Are you kidding me! I love the 80's clothes coming back! I'm in heaven lol
  6. My surgery was Oct 1st and I've only lost 38 lbs. We all lose at a different pace. Don't give up.
  7. Sorry to hear that, it sounds yummy!

  9. I did the same thing and I bet if you search you will find my post that said " I gained a pound and a half what the heck?" You will go back down. You probably need to poop.
  10. Are you drinking alcohol? I was understanding that we could not drink any alcohol for at least 6 to 9 months. What does your doctor say?
  11. Just wanted to chime in about having discarded stomach removed. I also choose to have mine removed, my Dr said he did not like the thought of leaving a dead peice tissue in the body.
  12. This is so exciting, everyday I learn something new about my old eating habits. No regrets I can't wait to see what this next year has to hold.
  13. Hi ladies I am 3 months out I've lost a total of 36 pounds. I wish I could make myself work out 5 days a week
  14. It does get better ladies. I am 3 months out and I have a hard time with meat. My advice is to go slow!!! I was in a big hurry to start eating "normal food" all it did was get stuck in my chest and made me throw up. horrible feeling! So just take it slow!
  15. Just think after January you will never have to worry about that ever happening again. Cause you will be SKINNY!
  16. I still love sweets, I too was hoping to not like them or not be able to tolerate them.
  17. Sorry your correct Dr Verboonen does not do plastics. I didn't realize this was a plastics forum. He did my MGB.
  18. I have been eating little bits since about 4 weeks out. Tuna with mayo is OK as long as its the cheap kind (chicken of the sea in water) the more expensive (albacore) gets stuck. I can't eat even a couple bites of it.
  19. I am 3 months out and every time I try to eat meat it feels like I just can't eat more than a bite or two. Meat feels so heavy to me, to even think about eating it turns me off. Before surgery I loved meat. How do I get over this. Its hard to get my protein in when I can't stand the thought of swallowing meat.
  20. Every time my food is stuck and im running to and from the restroom cause I'm nauseated my husband ask me " still think it was worth it?" Oh I get so frustrated! Its at that point he gets the "eye" and a very firm YES! Hang in there it gets better.
  21. I snored really bad before surgery, now not at all. My husband used to wake me up nightly to turn over.
  22. I take 2 fiber tabs every morning and have no trouble going.
  23. I got the MGB it is $6500. The sleeve is $4200. I'm not sure how many MGB's he has performed but he has a website called the Obesity Goodbye Center. I am doing great still trying to remember to slow down when I eat. My only issue is that I have always been a fast eater, then my food gets stuck for a while. When I am thinking about it and I eat slow I have no problems. Dr Verboonen has been great. If I have any questions I either send him a private message on Facebook or send him a text. He always gets back to me within a few minutes to a couple hours.
