My date is March 4th!!! I'm excited and nervous. I started my 14 day liquid diet today and am doing ok for the most part. I keep having thoughts of backing out and arguing with myself that I don't have to do this but i'm pushing through those thoughts and thinking of all the benefits of having the surgery. I'm so glad there is a site like this to come and talk to others and not be judged...I know i'll make it through this because I have to and most of all WANT to!

I haven't gotten a surgery date yet. I'm shooting for late February or early March at this point. As for the Mexico thing...I'm not racist about it. It's just that you need to read he thread title. It's for people going through the program at Bailey NOT Mexico that's all. Go post in the Mexico threads is what I'm saying.

Well I was there @@Cota1262 and of course you didn't come say hi to me...chicken!!! LOL it was very helpful and there were a lot of people there. I found it pretty informative.
And welcome to our little Bailey page @@Martene81 ...so glad you found this thread. We've been discussing our journey..well mainly cota and I. Then dude came in and try to talk up a Mexico trip..thanks but no thanks. I ain't flying to mexico to have someone cut me open without any of my regular doctors around. I'm sure they do well down there but this thread is for Bailey folks going through it together so he wasn't appreciated by me. Nothing personal, just don't need to hear about it. Anyway, welcome!!! I have been a little absent from here (busy as all get out at work) but if I can help please ask away!

Good for you pinkbunies but this thread is for those of us who are using Bailey so going to Juarez Mexico doesn't apply to us. Thanks for the info though.
-
Sounds like an advertisement to me Cota. Just saying.
-
you are and it seems like you're trying to find excuses to back out of it...so stop it!!! LOL
-
did you happen to ask them why they needed the biopsies? Might have seen some pollups (sp.) or something. Who knows but i'm sure it's fine if you haven't heard anything from them.
Oh and btw...haven't had a dip since Wednesday at 5:00pm!!! So going on 48 hours tobacco free.

I'm the same way. I will more than likely go to this one and see what it's like. Who knows...maybe I'll end up liking it and having fun. LOL
-
No for me. Don't see the surgeon until 12/19 and the pulmonologist on 12/23 so I'm betting February too for me. But you never know. It could happen sooner for both of us. Are you going to go to the support group in Owasso next month?

See I don't know how that works. Since generally the surgery is supposed to help with sleep apnea if not get rid of it totally. So who knows if you'll need the machine until the surgery or not. Guess you'll know next week. Have you gotten a surgery date yet? I can't remember if you told me or not. LOL

I suppose you're right. Well you can still email or message me if you need to.
-
LOL yes you can dream except you'll be dreaming with a mask on your face for just a while longer. After the surgery I bet you'll get to get rid of it for good!!! At least that's what I hope happens with me you know we could continue our conversation over email or messages on here? I bet people are tired of seeing just you and I chatting LOL. Just a suggestion.

Yeah about that fun request....I think I'll pass. LOL in haven't started any diet yet. I imagine after the dietician visit the changes will start. I'm basically just eating everything I won't be able to after right now. Haha
-
I had actually had a stress test last year so that counted. Haha did I forget to mention that part? LOL
I still have all of the other parts to go. This was the first doc I've seen since the initial visit with Dr. Kirk
-
Just got back from the cardiologist and i'm cleared for surgery by her!!! No need for any additional testing...that's some good news right there! one step closer!
-
I sometimes think about it being a mistake. I think it's normal from what I've read on here. It's a huge life change but everyone on here and other sites I've seen say it's well worth it. But ultimately it's up to you in the end. We are here for you though
-
LOL you may be right on that. I'd have to kill my inner voice if it kept waking me up at 5am. My bladder already has that job. Lmao
-
I was teasing of course....I'm proud of you for doing that. Good job!!! I'm so not a morning person so when I work out or go walking it is in the evenings. I wish I was a morning person because I hear how much energy people have after morning workouts. Maybe after the surgery and some weight loss I'll have more drive in the mornings.

Haha much better. I'd prefer #1 but at this point I'll take what I can get. And I'm also and open book so ask away too. And thanks for being someone to talk to btw. It's really awesome to be able to walk through with someone.

And Cota this is my post so if anyone is going to be called sexy beast it has better be me!!! LOL I'm excited for you getting all this done. Too bad we aren't on the same schedule and going through it together. Oh well that just means I'm going to slam you with all kinds of questions. LOL
