    Just getting started...

Well I had a little set back last week with the financing part of it but that's all been worked out and now I can move forward with no more obstacles. I'm very excited. Still have a few weeks yet before my 1st appointment and have no idea how long after that I'll have the surgery but I hope it's quick! thanks all for the words of encouragement!!!

Thank you Shelly and missmac. I'm nervous but so excited. I attended the seminar last week and have made my first appointment. It's a month away but I can't wait. Lol I hope it all goes smoothly and quickly. I've found this forum to be very helpful. It's nice to have people like me who share my struggle with food.

    Just getting started...

I'm so happy to hear that. I'm a carbs freak. I love bread and potatoes so I think the Protein first mantra might be a tough one for me too. I made my first appointment to start the process (attended the seminar last week!) It's still a month out but I'm hoping that it all goes smoothly and quickly. I don't smoke but I do dip tobacco so that is another hurdle I'm about to tackle because I understand you have to be nicotine free for at least 6 weeks prior to surgery. Yikes! I know I can do it but I just have to start. Scary but sooooo worth it I truly believe. I'm finding this forum to be very helpful and everyone is so nice and supportive. I hope to find a group locally to participate in and get really involved in that part of it because it's hard to lean on friends and family that don't understand our struggle. Thank you all so much!
