  1. We will definitely have to keep each other encouraged. With the exception of having my tonsils out as a kid this my first "real" surgery also. We will get through it together.
  2. I am having my surgery November10th. I have already been approved by my insurance just waiting.

  4. I am going to miss y'all but I moved to 11-10-14. No longer a Dec. Sleever!
  5. Approval was much easier than I thought though. I started a new job in April, which meant new insurance. I was very fearful about the approval process, got a call on Monday. You are Approved, I asked my assigned nurse how likely was approval. She said if you need it we want you to have it. I think most insurance companies look for their criteria and requirements to be met. You should be fine if that is all in place. Plus your Dr. office wants you to get approved they are likely doing all they can and telling you the right things to do.
  6. Wonderful, I am so happy for you. Dr. Nicholson would not provide a date prior to approval, I guess it is okay though since I know it is going to happen now.
  7. Dr. Nicholson at Baylor in Plano. Yours?
  8. I am having my surgery November/December, should know the exact date this week. I have already been approved by my insurance just waiting for my date from my NUT.
  9. Dallas, TX sleeved in Dec. by Dr. Nicholson.
  10. This was a big concern for me I like Total Lean (GNC brand) and Oh Yeah is by far my favorite. Nectar is good when you want to get away from the milky flavor. I hope this helps.

  12. Whole Foods, Central Market, GNC and most other health foods stores.
  13. Luckily my doctor has liquid and protein bars with a low calorie, low fat dinner. He said that patients are more compliant with this plan. My dietician (recommended by surgeon) has a more inclusive diet. With all this being said, the purpose of the pre-op diet is to shrink your liver and prepare your body. Talk to your doctor about modifications.
  14. I am also a December sleever, I am so excited. I am just ready to get this started.
