  1. I’m a sleeve patient and have been compliant and successful and reached goal weight years ago. I swear by Vita4Life. I’ve tried all the chewables and they just didn’t work for me. I wound up with deficiencies of some kind or worse, sick stomach or Constipation so bad I had to stop them. I take sublingual B12, multi standard and Calcium chelate. I agree with others that you should get your labs done and see where you’re at and take it from there. J Good luck!

  2. Ah… yes. The whole sick stomach from Vitamins thing. I’ve been there and it’s what lead me to Vita4Life. I struggled so much fresh post op with vitamins and I was terrified I was going to never be able to keep vitamins down. My last option was to try them. What I wound up doing was opening the capsules and mixing them in to things like my Protein Shakes or my yogurt. I even put the contents in to a little of my dinner. Let me tell you, they saved me. I just swallow them whole now, but at the time, I couldn’t have done anything but a powder from capsules and I’m positive of it. You should try it. I’m sorry, I remember what it feels like and it’s awful. And scary.

  3. I hate chewables. Have tried chewable from brands like BA and Caltrate but they all seemed to make me nauseous. I had no idea why they were causing nausea and upon research I found that these chewables contained harmful fillers like Ethyl/Hydroxy Propyl Cellulose, Silicon/Titanium Dioxide etc that caused the symptoms. I immediately changed to capsules from Vita4Life upon my nuts recommendation. I take 1200mg Calcium in a dosage of 4 capsules and have had no complaints. You can get them off Amazon or their website.

  4. Bariatric Advantage Vitamins have caused nausea for me. I did some research and found that they contain some harmful fillers like Microcrystalline/Ethyl/Hydroxy Propyl Cellulose, Silicon/Titanium Dioxide etc which may cause side-effects though not sure if it causes nausea. But why to take bariatric multi-vitamins with fillers?

I changed to many different brands like Centrum, Flintstones but all had some sort of side-effects most commonly stomach pain and nausea. Finally I consulted my nut who advised me Vita4Life .But I did a thorough check before consuming and found no fillers in these Vitamins. I have been taking them for over three years now and have returned some good lab results.

  5. There is no fixed dosage of bariatric Vitamins and supplements for anyone and no Vitamin that has all Vitamins in one. The dosage is dependent on your needs and is to be prescribed by the consulting doctor. I take Calcium in malate chelate 1200 mcg in a serving of 4 capsules, Multivitamins in multi-standard formula and 1 Vitamin B12 sublingual in the form of methylcobalamin with 1000mcg.
