I was banded back in 2007. I live in Albany, so I don't attend the meetings. I did attend some when they were here. How are you doing with your band?
I live in Warner Robins so Macon isn't but 20 mins for me so I do go to the meetings. I was banded last year in October. I am still struggling with not focusing on the numbers but how my clothes fit.
-
Hey Para how long have you been banded? Are you going to the monthly meetings?
-
It's a huber needle. Look it up and you will get a since of what they use. At least that's what my doctor uses. But my port is in my chest not my abdomen.
-
My port is in my chest. Well more like in the crease of my left armpit. Makes it extremely easy for fills and does not require X-ray to access it.

Shoot me an email. Hmorgan0422@yahoo.com

i took a shower the same day as surgery. I'm not sure as far as a bath. Where is your port located? Mines in my chest wall on my left side just at the crease of my underarm

That's awesome with the Advocare products. I've actually been using them for a few years. Absolutely love spark and their supplements. I became a distributor with them in 2012. Awesome products.

I'm in Ga and have Humana they covered mine at 100% with 6 months of failed diet and a letter of necessity from my surgeon.

Sure you can shoot me an email hmorgan0423@yahoo.com

His fill center in Macon has fantastic staff and I love Miss his nurse. I can completely understand how everyone feels down there. I would have been very upset also. I wish you much success with your band. The more I see with ports on their abdomen the more I am thankful for my chest port.

I thought he still hd an office down there and one in Macon. I live in Warner Robins but see him at his Macon office. Actually now I see the fill center.

I am in Warner Robins. Had my surgery done by Dr. Bagnato in Macon. Best decision ever. Always looking for local buddies to help keep on track.

S_Suther I see your surgery was done by Dr. Bagnato. He also done my surgery in October. The best by far!

I was banded on Oct 3, 2014 and for my first fill I was given 2cc as a "primer" and 6 weeks later I was given 1cc. Today I go for another fill and my doctor believes in slow steady fills to get you in that sweet spot (green zone) doing it to fast can actually be worse. I am also frustrated but I also realize its what is best for me. My doctor has a lot of success with his bands because of the way he does it. I also have my port in my chest (near my left armpit) and not my stomach so it makes fills so much easier. Hang in there.

I was banded Oct 3, 2014. I would be willing to help you.

This is a long shot in the wind but figured I would give it a try. I was banded October 3rd 2014 and I am having a difficult time. Looking for a buddy or buddies to talk to for ideas and encouragement, local or long distance. Thanks

I am using Nascobal and its $25 a month for the medication and all the Vitamins that come with it. I haven't had any problems with it.

These bars are very addicting and serve as a sugar craving for me.
I agree they are awesome bars, I try to limit myself but if I must have a "treat" I use these bars for Portion Control and to keep away from the other things I don't need. I am with you on this one.

I currently just had surgery October 3rd. I'm excited for this new journey.
-
I had surgery on October 3 it was a Friday and was more than ready to go back to work on October 6th that Monday. Didn't require any additional time off. I work in a doctors office.
-
I had mine done on October 3rd. The pull and pain in the port area got me for a while. I still have some every now and then but it's not as bad as when I first had surgery. It's getting much better. Most people have more pain from the gas pains. Fortunately I didn't have those. It gets better I promise!

With any type of weight loss be it surgery, diet, exercise, etc the weight is not going to just "fall off" you have to work at it. You have to put your effort to do it, deciding to have surgery and continue the way you were previously totally defeated the purpose of having surgery. There is no miracle weight loss that is just going to do it for you. You didnt get over weight just breathing!

Just a suggestion. I joined www.emeals.com and chose the low carb meal plan. Has saved dramatically on groceries and tons of fantastic meals. Very tasty and low carb.
