  1. I will be 27 weeks pregnant at my next OB appointment. They also have me scheduled for my glucose test. I want to hide. Those of you that have had it post surgery how did it go? At this point I'm not concerned about being able to drink it fast enough, my concern is how is it going to make my body feel. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. 2. I was around 11 months post op. I will be 25 weeks Tuesday with a so far perfect little boy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I had my surgery in January 30th 2015. Since then I've lost around 130. I just found out I am pregnant and somewhere around 4 weeks. I'm so excited. I have PCOS so I never thought this would happen. I'm also nervous. Any tips on being able to eat enough. I still can't eat a lot. Protein still fills me up so quick. I'm nervous because this pregnancy is important to me and I want to be able to do the right things.
  4. Hello, I had the Gastric Sleeve on January 30th 2015. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant with my first child. I really want to breastfeed but I'm seeing mixed reviews on this. Any tips on this? I lost over 130 after sleeve. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Eating Enough

Thanks. My mom knows and is shoving food at me so I have to remind her I can only eat so much in one sitting.

    Post op FIRST time pregnancies

I'll be a year out in two weeks. I had tried for over 10 years in the past with no success. I just found out I am pregnant. I'm somewhere around 4-5 weeks. It can happen.
  9. Just curious what people are missing. For me it's homemade chili with some saltines crushed up in it. Someone at work had some the other day and it smelled so good lol
  10. I'll have to try chili without the crackers lol. I used to put so so many crackers in it. Was more like would you like chili with your crackers? Lol
  11. Yeah some things taste weird to me now. So odd.
  12. Same here. I still don't really feel hungry. Just once in awhile the smell is like oh I would love that but I shouldn't lol. I don't miss many things.

    Bra sizes!

I was in a 44D now I'm in a 36B/C. It weird but the they're losing mass at different rates so my left breast is smaller than my right. So annoying lol.

    Nausea and Vomiting

You're not alone. I didn't stay sick but since having the surgery 6 months ago I've had days where no matter what I did or ate I was just sick. It happens far less now though but I still have the occasional day. I did tell my doctor and you should as well but everyone is different. For me it was my new norm for a little while. Now it's been about two weeks since I've felt that way.
  15. My doctor kept me on it not only because of the PCOS but because he says it helps with fat loss.

    Hair Loss :(

Sadly I'm now going through those. I have natural curly hair so I don't want to cut it but I may have to soon. It's so bad I'm always picking hair off my shirts.

    Shopping!

It's amazing. I went from tight 3x and I'm currently in a large. Some brands I wear a medium. Being able to pick out of normal stores is so amazing to me.

    Preop pcos ttc

I know this is an old post but it's so exciting to read. I too have PCOS and have wanted nothing more to be a mom for many years. All together I tried getting pregnant for 11 years. I quit trying for awhile then decided to have the surgery. I plan on stopping birth control at one year post op to see what happens. I will be 34 this year so time is of the essence. Congrats to all of you that have had success after surgery.

    Baby fever?

It definitely has me. Sadly I'm nowhere near far enough out so I plan on waiting. I do plan on trying as soon as I can safely though lol
  20. For now I am buying just enough to get by without looking bad at work. Something I wore last week now falls off so it's hard to invest too much in it. Once I get closer to goal I will invest a little more at a time.

    Back to Work

I went back after one week and regretted it. I was back for a few days then the snow saved me as they called work off for almost two weeks.

    Water with meals ?

For me I get nauseated if I drink anything with food. I do on occasion take a tiny sip of water just to moisten my mouth but never more than that otherwise I pay for it. I've actually thrown up because of it before I learned my lesson.
  23. I went through this. There were days I couldn't keep anything down. I found no fix for it but as time went on it subsided. I have a day here and there where I am so sick even now but it's few and far between now in comparison. What I figured out is do the best you can on those days. Good luck and I hope it passes soon for you.

    Is anyone freezing?

I've always been one of those people that stay hot. Since surgery I am the opposite. At work I freeze and have to wear my jacket zipped all day. Brrr lol

    Shoe size

Totally did. I can wear some kids shoes now when I had to wear a woman's 10 before due to fat foot lol
