    Dizziness

Low Iron and low Thiamine can cause this. Both are serious. I had low thiamine and had severe dizziness. Came to find out my chewable vitamin didn't contain Thiamine

    Wisconsin

Wisconsin here! But my bypass was done in Milwaukee. Anthem Bcbs was wonderful only had to have a bmi over 40 and no supervised diet. I had my consultation last sept and had surgery exactly 2 months later in November
  7. How far post op were you when you stopped losing weight? Did you try to stop when you met goal or did your body just stop at a certain point. I am almost 9 months post op and went from 289 to 181 and my loss is slow now and I feel like I'm fighting for every pound. My goal is 160 as a bare minimum but would love to get to 140... For all of you, who have met those goals did you just keep following the rules to achieve your goal or did your bodies just stop no matter how you've tried??

    Confused..

5'4 sw 289 cw 181 RNY 11/18/2014 I know that you are expected to lose about 80% of your excess weight. I also heard that you continue to lose up to 18 months post op. I am about 9 months post op and now am at 181, that's what my surgeon expected my to lose total. What confuses me is.. Will I continue to lose weight? Or is this the 80% and that's it? I know everyone is different but what is typical? My personal goal was 160 and hoped for 140. What are your thoughts? Did you just stop losing at a certain point or did you have to up your calories to go into maintaince?
  9. The 5:2 diet is 5 days a week a normal low cal restricted diet and two days a week, you have higher calories. I was very skeptical of it but I've done it 3 times to break a stall and it worked each time.. Google it for the details
  10. Sorry to hear your having a hard time. I had my gallbladder removed in 2012 and gastric bypass November 2014. I have occasional pain after eating and when that happens I have a medicine that coats and soothes my stomach from my surgeon. I plateaued for a month at 6 months and then got it going again with the 5:2 diet. Hope the pain gets better and the stall ends. Don't get too discouraged, you are very attractive and made an excellent decision to have the surgery ????
  11. The 5:2 diet works like a charm to break a stall

http://flipagram.com/f/YXXy5eaffo Flipagram with my progress "so far". Sometimes the loss is fast and some times soooo slow and sometimes not at all. Keep going!!

Rny 11/18/14. Sw289 cw184. I've never counted calories just estimated, kept the Water and Protein up always! My workout is an hour on the treadmill 3-4 times a week. I've had many plateaus and one lasted over a month! I'm losing so much slower now and it's not every week that I can see a loss. I have 24 pds til goal which I set at 160. Once I get there I may reevaluate and take it from there. Moral of the story, keep going..work hard and enjoy the progress you make no matter how much you lose or how fast you lose! You will get there and that's all that matters! http://flipagram.com/f/YXXy5eaffo
  17. I didn't document too much, a lot of the before pics I had to get from other people because I never saved "true" pictures like that of myself. I wish I would have taken more the first few months post op because the changes happened so fast
  18. A month long stall? Is that possible? I've done so well and have kept all my habits the same. I am 5 months out. Started at 289 and am now 211 at 5'4. I want to get to 150 and will not give up. I am meeting my protein and liquid requirements. Maybe it's time to up the work outs? Up until today I was optimistic think this stall has to end soon, just to end my day in tears thinking I've failed and this is as good as it gets for me. So close to Onederland. Haven't been there since high school and I feel like maybe I just really won't get there. Last month was only a 6 pd loss and nothing this month. How could I not end my day in tears..
  19. Yes I did and I'll be 8 months post op this month..Rny

I eat and then I'm zapped...

Yeah I'm trying to figure it all out too. It's only happened to me a few times and I'm almost 8 months out but it's scary. Try and pay attention to what you eat when it happens and go from there ????

I eat and then I'm zapped...

Sounds like dumping. That happens to me if I have too many carbs or have something sweet
  23. Thank you!! I can't wait to make it to the one year post op mark! ????
